I like the Rupp choice, but Bertman had more NCAA championships. Let's let the women have their own Rushmore and do the best in the three major sports: Bryant, Saban, Rupp, and Bertman.

Not understanding this. LSU beat Ole Miss in 1961 and was co-champ of the conference with Bama.
And it's a long time ago, but LSU did win back-to-back conference championships in 1935-36.

If you are going to blame New Orleans' downfall on white flight, then you ought to examine the reasons for white flight. People want a better life, so they move if they perceive a better life across the parish line or across the lake. If they can move and have fewer hands in their pockets, why shouldn't they? Again, it's the same across the country, liberal Democratic policies reduce economic and personal freedom and people take notice. And once you become a sh*thole, and rely on digging in other's pockets, it is almost impossible to reverse course.

New Orleans' decline started before Moon Landrieu, but he helped it along. The city's population by decade has fallen from:
1960 627,525 (62% white, 38% black)
1970 593,471
1980 557,515
1990 496,938
2000 484,000 (28% white, 67% black, 3% hispanic)
2010 343,829 (33% white, 60% black, 4% hispanic)
2020 383,997 (32% white, 54% black, 6% hispanic, 3% asian)
Now 357,767 (31% white, 55% black, 8% hispanic, 3% asian)

The political leaders are reflective of the people. If the council are corrupt clowns, it is because most New Orleanians are corrupt clowns. The situation is hopeless. The population will not change.
