re: Unlimited Transfers and NIL are Ruining CFB

Does this thread exist if LSU is cleaning up in the portal and has their NIL program together?
Probably not.
There are plenty of teams out there that have welcomed and embraced this change. There is no denying we are seeing new levels of parity in the sport due to the portal and NIL.

Can someone explain how clear cutting a forest to install a solar farm is ‘better for the environment’? Because that is happening.
No renewable energy company will ever pay a landowner to cut down trees. All leases are negotiated on buildable acreage and trees are not considered "buildable acreage."
Now, if a landowner decides that its beneficial for himself to remove the trees and pursue a renewable lease, that's a differnet story.

A lot of these "dudes" aren't trying to build solar farms right away, but instead are trying to get an option to put a solar farm on your land sometime between now and forever. For a very small initial option fee paid to the landowner, the landowner's land is tied up forever. The "dude" then tries to sell a bundle of these farms that he has options on to a bigger investor down the road who may be the one who ultimately puts in a solar farm. The landowner doesn't get real money until a solar farm is built.
Is the land anywhere near a high transmission electric line? If not, there is no way that they won't build a solar farm there for a long time because they have no way to transmit the electricity generated without building high transmission lines (and the associated costs of building and getting right-of-ways).
Any Solar / Wind Lease is going to have an option period of 4 to 5 years. No one is signing an option that is going to tie up their land "forever."
During the option period the landowner has the right to lease their land, farm their land, or do whatever they want with it. They get paid during all of this.
"The landowner doesn't get real money until a solar farm is built." This is correct. They get paid $20-$50 an acre for an option. They get paid money while being able to use their land as normal.
Both the landowner and lease owner want to see the lease go to the operational period. That's when they both make money. It does not benefit any energy company to option to lease land with no plans on using it.
As far as transmission lines, they are being upgraded and added all over the country. They WILL actually build Solar and Wind Farms and run new lines lines to tie into existing transmission lines.
MISO, TVA, PJM, ERCOT, SPP etc all know that transmission is the one thing holding renewables back and are actively taking care of the problems. Transmission lines are the biggest ROW business currently.

I live just over a mile from the Dome and will be walking to the game.
If anyone has nice tickets but is too scared to use them, I'll gladly take them.

Maybe you should ask the players who busted their arse all year(seniors especially) if its meaningless.
My guess is since Damone Clark and Neil Farrell opted out, it shows you how meaningless this game is. Throw in TDP too.
(I support players opting out by the way. There is a reason they don't want to risk injury in meaningless games)
Now ask those seniors and juniors who played in 2019 if this bowl game has any meaning to them?

Practices will probably help some players. Let's Kelly get a close look at returning players.
Other than that, not much benefit
This is the correct answer.
Our scheme and roster will be completely different in the spring than it is now. Then our roster will change heavily from the spring to the fall and scheme will adjust.
Practice reps is the only benefit.

Apparently, the Rose Bowl will be his last game before retiring. You could see the emotion in him tonight after the game that might suggest that.
Also, agreed. Very good coach.

Posted this in another thread:
99% of these big head coach interviews do not take place in either the interview/interviewee's town. Mainly at neutral sites.
They take place in airports or airport hotels, which have concealed conference rooms for all kinds of meetings (mainly Atlanta, Chicago, and Dallas). Tons of places to keep anonymity.
No way you could get a candidates, president, AD, reps, etc meeting on campus or anywhere near campus without anyone seeing, especially in a small college towns.
Flight tracking is fun, but it's worthless.

They are thinking Jeff Traylor.
He was coaching high school in 2014 and does not have any coordinator experience in college.
He has UTSA 9-0 right now.

New thread?
Explain “rock solid” to me while you are at it?
Or did you just take unfounded information off the internet and run with it trying to start false narratives?

Quit whining about "privilege" every chance you get and do some research. Pathetic.

Posted by curtastrophe on 1/23/21 at 6:38 pm to Powerman
To start I just looked at the Juice menu from the place around the corner, The Green Fork, and kind of tried to recreate some of theirs. Ended up finding this combo worked.
I have had mine for about two months and use it daily but it’s a lot of work. Not sure if I’d be able to keep it up if not working from home due to quarantine.

Check out their cupcake 2020 schedule. They can easily start 10-0 if they can pull of a win at Auburn.

I bet a decent bit (Auburn killed me last weekend) but have the same rule for not betting LSU. I was ready to break it and go big if it was around 10, but -13 screams back door. i.e. LSU UT.
That said, I think we cover comfortably. BOL.

Texas Season tickets is the way to go.
Bought 2 season tickets in section 123 row 3 on the aisle, seats not bleachers, for $1,200 ($600 each). Sold the other 5 games for $1,000 for the pair. Ended up paying $200 for a pair to the LSU game.
I may have even been able to make all money back or even profit playing the stubhub game, but the rest of the Texas schedule is pretty boring (La Tech, Oklahoma St, Kansas, Kansas St, Texas Tech). When my cousin's friend said he'd buy the rest of the tickets off me, I said "deal."

Y'all need to give this cheating stuff a rest. It's pretty simple, play the blind resume game. Since 2011...
Team A
Best coach in CFB history.
Won 4 of last 7 national championships.
Team B
Lost to team A 8 times in a row
Has lost 3 games minimum per season.
0 national championships in 11 years
Both put same number of people in NFL.
Money isn't the issue. Quit making excuses. If you were a recruit and had offers for both would you play for Team A or Team B?
