"Everything is great until it is not," is something a buddy used to tell me. This story seems to be following that closely. True or not, we will probably never know, but this sure is a heavy accusation. Sure would like to see same accountability toward accusers if not true.

The team is clearly different when X is on the court. Had he made the last layup this board would be a bit different this morning. I liked not using a time out, and the drive and shot. X just did not execute a very high percentage shot.
Obviously his shooting % was bad last night, but he does so many more things that push this team to be better.
A Win Friday and Saturday will most likely yield a chance on Sunday head to head with USC. I would much rather KM and the staff to have a chip on their shoulder.

How was your Gameday Experience?

What a challenge TAF/LSU has in front of them.

The campus/stadium experience is not good at all.

Outside of our poor performance on the field, the experience was certainly not worth the TAF/ticket prices.
Some nights teams are just off. This team battled last night and came out on top. The first half was frustrating to watch but the team never quit. The largest deficit was 13 and we win by 4. The sign of a good team, not great yet.

I attend every home football and basketball game and understand that this may be tough for you to understand.
As you progress through life, it is not fair. If you make good decisions much more than you make mistakes, you will be given the ability to support causes in which you are passionate. Many chose not to give or donate financially and keep their success and wealth to themselves. Others share their good fortune by donating to causes that are near and dear. No matter the age, anyone sitting in good seats at any event at LSU either give their own or company money to support TAF. Nevertheless, without these folks, facilities, coaches, buildings and many other things on campus would not be possible.
When Manning returns, we will be a much better team defensively. He was a big loss to our very shallow depth. I feel like we should be playing more folks to prepare for the back half of the season.
lack of depth is a challenge for sure. Manning will be a welcome return.
I was not in the huddle, but I am positive that WW did not coach the team, to have a crucial turnover in OT, allow Auburn to drive the lane with seconds left on the clock, and give up 5 or 6 - 3 point shots at the end of reg and in OT.
We stay at Watermark downtown. Great restaurants that you can walk. Little Village, Tsunami, Stroubes, Cap Grill and many more...
Basketball is a game of streaks. Auburn shot lights out from 3 point land from the last couple min of regulation and the entire overtime. Most if not all were heavily contested. We got down by I believe 8 or 9 in OT and battled back to take the lead. One costly turnover and a defensive dribble penetration in the lane cost us. I see huge improvement in this team from the beginning of the season. You may be negative, but I enjoy watching this team every week.
we have escaped some close games early when we got some good bounces and lucky bail outs. tonight we got caught as we did not get that karma, and the opponent played the game of their year. 3 players scored over 30 i believe, all career highs and over double their avg. occasionally the rim seems as large as a trash can, and this was one of those nights in nashville. hopefully this gets everyone back in the right mindset and we finish strong.
Anytime Skylar has been out of the game this year, i feel like we struggle getting the ball up the court, running an the offense and sometimes we fail to get a shot off. This is the first game i remember he was in foul trouble. We need someone to step up when our Mays is out IMO.
Watford's overall performance is the most improved since early in the season. As a fan, that is what i love to see as the season progresses. Selfishly, we do not need Watford to be so good that he leaves after one season.

Fla was much bigger than us and we be beat them in the paint by like 20 something. i would say there is some talent on this coaching staff and team.
WW is going to have a mental breakdown regarding his reactions to the game, he was wide open last night and a bit more animated than usual.
in bounding the ball and breaking the press seemed to be a huge issue last night late. this team is so improved from the first few games. interestingly, last night we only played 7 players. that is more concerning moving forward.
We got a few more foul calls and many more free throws due to our aggressive offense and taking the ball to the basket. FLA shot more than twice as many 3's. I felt like the calls last night were very ticky-tack, and not called very consistently.
WW in the past, seems to let the play happen. Obviously it is a philosophy, many coaches would call the TO here and set up a play which also allows the D to set up, and others do not. I see the advantage to both ways. Skylar Mays style of play is so much fun to watch. Give the ball to the play maker and take your chances.

re: N.O. airport parking?

Posted by playaplaya on 1/10/20 at 10:39 am to
The airport overall is a welcomed change. Every aspect is nice and clean. The parking near the airport is long term (across the pick up lanes from baggage claim) at $20 per day, and short term is actually attached to the airport and very convenient at $22 per day. I prefer short term now simply due to convenience.
Is he also responsible for the great success of the Dolphins this year? Not so sure if you can take one without the other....
no scanners and noone even took my ticket
Stanford seems to be the obvious choice here. I think LSU/Stanford will be a good matchup on the football field. The negative is Stanford's travel and support will be terrible. A LSU/BAMA rematch would electrify the city.

Karma is tough, BAMA will not be in New Orleans on January 9th as a participant.
The best part happened in OT when those loud mouth fans in Section HH behind Row 50 were finally quieted. Alabama must really be a terrible team to be beaten by (according to the guys behind me)the worst team in the country with no QB, no Passing Game, no Defense. Bryant Denny was like a library.
I need more tix. Sounds like a great deal....

Just trying to stay as positive as possible. I questioned Miles management abilities last week with my first two post, and they got pulled.

Miles Needs a Guy!

Posted by playaplaya on 11/23/09 at 8:33 am
Miles needs a supporting operational guy on the sidelines or in the box. He needs a constant reminder in his headset that if a certain situation comes up, he needs to be thinking about a plan or solution. Basically, someone thinking one, two or three plays ahead, possibly three possessions ahead. Someone with deep experience and not so much emotion. Currently our strength is not timely decision making. How many times do we get the offensive and defensive play call in late? We are then forced to take a T/O, 5 yards or just as bad not allowing Jefferson a pre snap read or our defense is running around at the last minute not set?

My point is every successful organization has a great leader, and to be a great leader you have to have one heck of a supporting cast, and as the leadership of an organization, you have to put your team in a position to realize success in every situation. If your team is a bunch of middle aged sales reps, guys swinging a hammer all day or 20 year old football players, the premise is the same. Clear communication and flawless execution will put you in a situation to experience success everytime!

Les just needs a GUY!
