I can get Mizzou but Texas not even coming close is just insane
Especially in baseball. They were the #2 seed in the 2021 CWS. State knocked them out of the CWS and won the NC.

LSU has lost 8 offensive linemen to the portal. They return 4 players from their two deep. LSU has 1 offensive linemen committed from the portal. The only offensive linemen left in the portal are 3 stars.

So? OM only had four 4-stars on their whole OL roster this year, and three of them were barely 4-stars (.89 rounded up to 90). Kiffin and Weis get the most out of them.

OM fans really do not want to compare roster stars with LSU. LSU will have more 4- and 5-stars at every position. That's why a Kiffin left OM for LSU.
Saban had to leave Michigan State to win a championship. Kiffin had to leave Ole Miss to win a championship.

Keenum recently raised over a billion dollars for a capital campaign. He was able to finally get a Phi Beta Kappa chapter, MSU had been trying for decades. State also receives more research funding than the rest of the universities in Mississippi combined.
Big10 refs are horrible in favoring Michigan and Ohio Stste, not sure how they will be tonight. One of the refs had a shrine to Michigan football in his home yet still reffed Michigan games.

There’s no good way to do that. Gives way too much weight on having a mid team already, not losing anyone and signing more mid to bad players. But On3 does do this so you can compare.

Losing a whole bunch of 3- and 4-stars who never played will count against a team when they shouldn't.
The teams still playing will have more leave when they are done playing and their On3 numbers will worsen. On3 uses a net ranking, subtracting players leaving to the portal. 247 does not subtract for players leaving, and that is why the On3 rankings are different from 247.

Of course, those teams will also add more players as the portal is not yet done, so their rankings may stay close.

Ugh. Sounds like target practice to me.
"Just fire Lebby and hire a Cignetti": football-ignorant State fans.
State has been ranked #1 five weeks and claims no national titles, so infinity.
Didn't you read it? Ole Miss invented sports marketing.
Ole Miss fans repeatedly prove they are the worst fans.

Always funny to see you escape from your cave of sadness to comment on something Ole Miss related.

"Always". Just three years ago State won 9 games and was better than OM--better season and won head-to-head. Kiffin improved OM significantly, but now OM will regress to the mean with Golding. Just like they did after good years with Cutcliffe, Orgeron, Nutt, and Freeze. OM fans "always" delude themselves that they are up with Bama/UGA/LSU, but can never sustain it.
Only OM fans think Kiffin's integrity is in question or that he went scorched earth. To everyone else, Kiffin left Ole Miss for a better program, just like when he left FAU for Ole Miss.

On 1/2/2026, LSU will immediately be better than OM. Better roster, better coaches, better facilities, better future.

and wow; congrats to Ole Miss for leading the win % category; that was a little bit of a surprise for me as was MS State being top 4

If UGA beats OM they will take over first. State cannot take third even with a win and Bama loss. I didn't check the others.

When did you want him to make his decision? Before the Egg Bowl?
If Lane knew he was leaving earlier, he should have announced before the Egg Bowl to allow Ole Miss time to hire a good coach.

This is exactly how I feel. The fact he was not honest and is intentionally damaging the program is disgraceful and shows a true lack of character.

Serious question. What did Lane actually do wrong? All of controversy before it was announced he took the LSU job was from journalists and fans. Lane wasn't saying anything.

He was posting pro-OM stuff up until the announcement. Are OM fans mad because they feel tricked by that?

If he knew earlier he was going to LSU he should have announced it before the Egg Bowl to allow OM time to look for a better coach. But I don't see that mentioned much as something he did wrong to OM.

Lane wanted to coach in the playoffs and OM said no. I don't blame OM for that, but Lane did let the assistants stay.

So what did Lane actually do wrong?
