It isn't even my birthday but thank you Gators. Good pitching gives you a chance in any game.
N King has changed his tune on Opurum being able to play this season. Says the Dr's are optimistic he will be cleared. 3 guys that can block shots makes us much better defensively and allows us to be more aggressive on the perimeter

Curious where the rest of this roster is going towards

If I were in charge I'd spend the rest of the extra NIL on a 3, a combo guard that can give minutes at the 1 and 2 and a 3/4 with the flexibility to play both and then just fill in the rest of the with lower level guys that do at least one thing fairly well. That would give us a solid 8 man rotation and some specialty players that can fill in any gaps
Saw where a Mercer OL is visiting this weekend. Jamari Freeman. He's been to Louisville, currently at State and planning on visiting Ark and UNC after us
back to basketball. Hooks says this is going to be a busy weekend for portal visits.

N King 247

Aristode: I'd say I'm more confident in him committing than anyone on the list, closely followed by Mantas Rubštavicius.

Dowd: If he makes it to campus this weekend, that's a great sign. Tennessee was sure they were in on him.

Oboye: Probably the top center on the board right now that I'm feeling most confident about. He's just ultra athletic and huge. Raw offensive skills.

Other 5 to know is Creighton's Owen Freeman.

Garland has fizzled out, I think. They'd like to get Riley to campus but he's going to be a more costly than some of the other backup guards you'd be be after.

He's our starting pg but like you said if needed he can give minutes at the 2. Offensively we would be fine with TP at the 2. Defensively without elite rim protection we would struggle.
Dowd is visiting this weekend. We've been trying to lock him up to keep him from visiting UT so this is progress

As of today, we have:
Starters:
Overton
Pettiford
SWA
Narcisse

Frenchie played the equivalent of D2 basketball. Solid and much needed depth piece but if he's our starter something went wrong

Good weekend other than the early innings yesterday

Then he better become a hell of a lot better passer this off-season or it's going to be another frustrating seaso

He can pass just fine. He does get sloppy at times though and that's what he has to clean up. He does the same thing dribbling but I don't think anyone would say he can't dribble.

It's like people are ignoring the fact that our crappy offense in SEC play was in a large part due to his inability to be a good PG.

Fair. I don't think the offense we ran helped him too much and as a team we didn't share the ball enough but to improve as a pg he needs to be a more willing creator next season.
He's a PG all the way imo. Not only offensively but he has to defend too so unless we sign a combo or big pg as his backup there's not really another option
Glad to be wrong. He had a bad year and I'm expecting a big bounce back
Tulsa's PG that lit us up for 20 is visiting next week
247 is saying we are and have been involved with Dowd from Troy. I wonder how that would work out with SWA and potentially Freeman all playing similar positions. Dowd is more of a true stretch 4 where SWA is a little of the 3 and 4 and Freeman more of the traditional wing that could give Overton a rest at times. Not sure that's a realistic scenario but it's fun to dream

Read something on the Twitter from someone I trust that says no way dowd is a 4. Says he's closer to 6'6 than 6'8 and a wing at this level. Goes against what ive read elsewhere but this guy is usually spot on
Agree and I think he will. Guys his size dominated physically in high school but aren't big enough to do it in college so there's a curve.
SWA is officially back. This is definitely a win for Steven and Auburn
We have San Diego States backup pg coming in for a visit next week. Hopefully that's good news with Tahaad but we need a backup regardless so who knows

Do we like Simon Walker for next year?

He has to do some work in the weight room to get more athletic. I saw him play against Philon in HS and it gave me a false sense of his athleticism not realizing Philon had ridden on a bus 6 hours that day
