Yeah I played college baseball, but if I am pitching in a softball game and they keep hitting it up the middle, I'm pissed. Just catching grounders is scary sometimes.
I get that. And IF a team keeps hitting them up the middle then there if certainly a problem. Especially when you can see obvious intention.
Getting it hit up the middle from time to time is a risk that should be known though.
The lane shite though? Frick that

Now one pussy thing that really stands out from my small dose of softball is dudes who go to bat looking for a damn walk.

All I remember about t-ball is standing around chewing on my glove.
If you keep score in t-ball then something is wrong with you. Its all about kids having fun and doing funny/stupid shite.

Played a tad bit of softball. Seriously hate the shite, but whatever. When I played, some of the pitchers wore a catchers type mask and shin guards, and would back up as soon as he released the pitch.
I would be more worried about 3rd base than pitching though. Most of the dudes had shaved bats and were hitting it pretty hard down the corner.
This is the first I've ever heard of the lane thing though.

It would be a huge shock if Deron Williams doesnt go to dallas. Jason Kidd already said hes cool with being a backup for his probable last season.

No shite, as would everybody else. This so called article is not even an article. I dont know what to call it.
If I had to bet on it right now, I would say Howard takes the needle and gives it a go in the playoffs. Players will target the shite out of his lower back. Maybe adidas can make some padded shirt/vest thingy for his back.
Then again, looking ahead it might be best for Howard and the team to get his back right and start fresh next season.

To see it for what it is? The situation is that Dwight's a bitch and is going to run his coach out of town. Your "perspective" is that it's Dwight's agent who is pulling the puppet strings? DH is fairly intelligent and a grown man; this is his fault.
Dont really disagree with most of this. I dont see your issue other than your man crush on SVG.
If you would read my shite with some intelligence maybe then you would see that I'm pretty much saying "Dwight needs to make his own decisions".
But other than that, we do disagree that SVG needs to go. The writing has been on the wall for over a year on that one. The press confrence just sealed it. Dude just isnt a good leader, and is very stubborn.
Dwight isn't a great leader for the most part either. I wish Dwight would stop caring what others think. He would be better off, and so would any team hes on.
I really miss Doc Rivers
Oh yea, almost forgot 21-0

Leave it to a dumbass to see it that way. Nobody is defending Dwight. The star player always gets his way in these situations. I'm just giving perspective.
SVG already made his bed too with his bitchy press confrence.

TBH, you're going to feel lame when you fire him for dwight then dwight just goes elsewhere anyways.
No, not really. Best chance of keeping him is by letting Van Gundy go. People act like this is the first time a coach has been pushed out. I hate to say it, but the more and more you look at it, Shaq was right. Plus, his player rotations and who he plays and doesnt play is bad. Chrisfrickinduhon
Van Gundy has taken them as far as he can, and after his whole BS at that press confrence, its obvious. He sealed his fate after that super awkward press confrence.
Howards biggest problem is who he has around him offering him selfish advice. Like his agent, who obviously wants his biggest client out of a small market so HE can make more money and get more clients. Howard makes just as much money anywhere he goes or stays.

First off this isnt even a news article.
Second, as a Magic fan, its time for Van Gundy to go. End of story. I know its hard to fire a coach that won a championship in Miami.........oh wait

re: Why was Alabama the media choice for BCS NCG?
Posted by thisoneworks on 4/18/12 at 2:00 pm to molsusports
The comparing Okie State to Florida in 2006 is lame. The argument for FL wasnt so much anti remach shite. It was more of a 1 loss SEC team that played a brutal schedule. A proven program. The anti remach shite was cause of a power team in the SEC with one loss. Not some team in the big 12 who had the #2 spot and lost it. They had their chance to keep the spot and lost it so another team moved up. Thats how the BCS works.
You cant compare an Okie State team that beats their "rival" once or twice every ten years on average which didnt change this year. They had lost like 8 or 9 in a row before that. Their series record is pathetic, I dont see how it can be called a rival other than obvious state ties.

You gotta give a couple months into the season to even get a gauge on stats.
I'm sure there will be stupid threads on here in a month or two talking about standings too, as if it matters.

a couple players came to Stan's defense today. Hedo said he wants SVG to coach him forever, an unnamed player said the locker room is split right now, and another unnamed player said something to the effect of, "the problem isn't the coach, the problem is one guy trying to run the show."
I'm sure some did come to his defense. I bet duhon loves his arse
But seriously, the situation of Howard or any star player wanting a coaching change is nothing new. What SVG said and did was. That shite was disrespectful to the entire organization. Stuff like that is always kept between employees of the franchise. At best it comes out once everything is said and done.
People will bitch all day till they die about Saban saying "I will not be the coach at Alabama" but this is kinda like the yin to that yang. Which is worse? Which one is best for the team and remainder of the season?

I'm pretty sure that worked out and proved to be the right decision. Even though SVG wasnt fired he "retired".
It seems like history is repeating it self in a way. Its obvious SVG has lost the TEAM not just Howard. Not to mention his coaching decisions.

Part of being a coach is having your team prepared and having their respect. What SVG did today didnt do that. It wasnt exactly a secret that Howard wanted SVG out, and it seems that most of the team feels the same way.
History has shown that this isnt the first time. I respect what SVG has done as a Magic fan, but its time to go.
I'm not defending Howard either really. Dude needs to grow up and I think it will take a coach that demands respect to help with that. SVG is not that guy. He wasnt that guy in Miami either. What he did today proved that.
The Magic might as well let Ewing take over for the rest of the season so they can see what he can do with this team, and then move on from there.
It would be nice if the Magic had a coach like Doc Rivers........oh wait
