I have a couple issues regarding your review.
1) It's unfair to the business how you're dealing with this issue. You should have informed the management about your concerns so they can make an attempt to satisfy you. (You said the experience wasn't bad enough too notify management but yet you feel the need to bash them publicly.) Do you know them impact these reviews can place on a business? Are you aware of the livelihoods of the workers you can be affecting?
2)"who found it important for some reason to take my full name, even though I didn't have a reservation, nor needed one at 5:30 in the afternoon."
--- Maybe they keep records of your visit and notes on your experience so they can better serve you in the future. Also, 5:30 is not in the afternoon.
3)"He stood and waited for her to move out of his way, walked in front of her, and sashayed into one of the main dinning areas. He made no attempt to pull my wife's chair out, which I did, and invited us to enjoy ourselves."
--- I'm sure the guy wasn't a jerk and did say excuse me in some way but since you were standing a few steps away letting your wife "handle the exchange", which sounds to me like something a gentlemen would do, you did not hear the hostess pardon himself. Also, why should HE pull out YOUR wife's chair? He doesn't know which seat you'll be taking. And that's YOUR job as a loving husband.
3)"My wife is not a wine snob and asked if they had a house wine, she was told 'yes' without telling us what it was. So my wife asked if it was white or red, she said 'white'. My wife then asked what is it, and the waitress said the name of the wine (I don't remember). So my wife asked is it a chardonnay or pinot grigio or, and the waitress said it was a 'Chardonnay', so my wife ordered it."
--- Sure, not a wine snob...
4) "When I go to place like Ruffino's I expect them to charge me the same for Smirnoff as Goose."
--- What??? Why??? When you go to the store, do you expect to pay the same price between the two? Ruffino's pays for the price difference too.
5) "The waitress was shaking my martini and asked, "What was it you ordered again, I can't ever remember what's in a martini. There's so many kinds."
--- Why would the waitress ask this? You're just making shite up now.
6) "The fire was blazing in the fireplace. I think it was about 99 degrees in the shade outside. People were fanning themselves with menus in the restaurant. I was okay."
--- The fire place is part of the atmosphere and if you were okay... then why is this mentioned?
7) "At which I replied, "If I allow him to grow up." I shot evil eyes towards the table, I was unable to catch anyone's eye."
--- Douche bag comment.
8)"I did not leave with $139 dollars worth of satisfaction. I was happy that I could afford to laugh that night out off. I do not plan a return trip soon."
--- This is when, a person who claims to have a good job and likes to spread his money around Baton Rouge to support local businesses, inform management and provide criticism. Instead they were misled them and you allowed them to continue working with a possibility of another customer having the same ill-experience.
Now, a thing I do appreciate from your review is your opinion about the food quality. I think that was a legit review. However, I've never been disappointed with my meals. If you like fish, you should definitely try their cedar plank redfish with crab meat.
In the future, at any restaurant, if there is something you don't agree with during your dining experience, speak to management and allow them the opportunity to make it better. I do not agree with bashing a business on a popular Baton Rouge website with out giving them the benefit first.
