So Saban started with LSU in 2000. Took them to the SEC/NC game in 2003. Guess we can say the same about him. Wasn't entirely composed of his own players.
Saban then took over the Alabama job in 2007. Took the Tide to the SEC championship in 2008/2009 and won a NC in 2009.....again with a team not entirely composed of his players.
What's the difference? Is Saban a bad coach? ND has a top recruiting class every year, yet they suck. Give Miles credit. Coaching and not just players win championships.
