re: Which would you rather be a US Territory - Greenland, Alberta, or Cuba?
Posted by tigger1 on 2/28/26 at 2:28 am to BTROleMisser
1. Greenland
2. Alberta
3. Cuba, it will take 20 years or so to fix that mess of Socialism gone wrong again. Remember when the leftist in the US proclaimed how great the medical system was in Cuba and said we should model ours after theirs?

Like I said Kelly should be number 8.
I am not as mad when we hire Hallman, I told everyone on radio it was a mistake.
Not near as bad as taking Kelly, Kelly was a good coach, but when they should have looked to the future they did not and took Lane.

I factor more than most, like Bill did not recruit (Archer was the main recruiter).
1 Saban
2. Miles
3. Paul
4. McClendon
5. Orgeron
6. Archer (would be higher prop 48 killed LSU recruiting, and board did not want him to sign JuCo players)
7. Arnsparger (did not recruit and heart was not in college football, wanted the team to play at a level pace).
8. Stovall
9. Dinardo
10.Kelly (really should be 8, still said we should have hire Lane over Kelly when we hired Kelly.)
11 Hallman (Joe saved us 500k with that hire)

Billy lived 4 houses down from my grandmother's house. She owned 4.1 acres of land. Billy growing up would play football and baseball on her fields with my uncles and the neighborhoods boys.
He went to Istrouma High school with my aunts and Uncles and mother. I meet him many times over the years and many times visited his mother and father.
He was very fast; he got injured playing pro football and had to move to TE.
I still like his story about Tommy Davis; the team was outside Tiger stadium just after practice one night. Billy like normal bet the team wash money that Tommy could punt the football into the stadium from the street outside Tiger Studium into it. Tommy and Billy bet they could the rest of the team bet against the punt. Tommy made the punt.

RD Dawg this was known even when Thomas was still living. The family in letters to his brother got on to him for sleeping with the slaves.
Miami wants both.
re: Miss. State 247 guy Roberson says LSU no longer considered favorite for Seaton
Posted by tigger1 on 1/22/26 at 3:17 pm to supersaints9
I worked in Starkpatch, there is nothing there.
Texas is over 50 million
Ohio State is close to 50 million
Miami is well over 40 million
Many still have not realized college football is now professional football teams and will have pro type money for players.
Quarterbacks in the near future will be over 7 million alone.

Looking at 3.5m+
Said to be a top 10 pick next year in the draft,
Best Left Tackle in college football in a while.
We are a pro team now, so pay the near4 million and go for a SEC title out the gate,

Watched it years ago when it came out, heard from my friends who read the book that is better.
Been done many times over the years, ie the same plot.

re: Are the services ever going to be able to issue even decently reliable transfer rankings?
Posted by tigger1 on 1/14/26 at 1:58 am to Hugh McElroy
On3 is a joke on transfer rankings, it takes into account those transferring out and in both.
247 only accounts for those transferring into a program, which gives an better idea on the impact of those transfers to a program.

247, been told on3 takes into account who transferred from the program, which has nothing to do with the incoming portal players.
My understanding is LSU will still recruiting him, we need one more QB with some game experience.
Late word is Demond may go back to Washington.
Said to be confirmed Demond back to Washington now.

There is a clear-cut conflict of interest on the agents' part, I knew about this near 40 hours ago. It would have been better to have a different agent for the players.
Yes, Demond is worth 6-7 million.

Agent is also the head coach's agent which I pointed out yesterday.
Where there is smoke there is fire, if you could not see this coming a mile off you may need glasses.

Doug Hendrickson who was Demond's agent dropped him today.
Doug is also the agent for Washington's coach.
This is the reason some said today the coach ask for his name to be placed into the portal.
Washington still wants to press a sued at this time, which is very likely to be dropped.

re: The agreement Demond Williams signed with Washington included a provision. Uh oh, LSU.

There is no telling where he will end up, LSU, Miami and Oregon all want him as their starter.

RollTide1987 contact matters not, it is where you are enrolled at the start of the 2026 season.
This is a NIL deal not a LOI.
Nil deals are media type contacts, far different rules and court rulings.
These are non-binding until in effect until the new season, which is why the Wisconsin player was able to change teams with no effect on the new team (Miami) or his ability to sign a new NIL deal with his current team.
