The portal typically represents more experienced players, some who are proven. HS players are all unproven. None of them have done it at the college level.

I was at the Texas AZ State game and Leavitt looked really good against a very strong Texas defense. Several times they brought the house and somehow Leavitt was able to either complete a pass or scramble for good yardage. Care less about the QBR, he def passed the eye test. Stats to a degree are useful, but it’s more complicated than just the numbers.

Yes we are and worth every penny. Could care less about a one game performance with mostly backups playing in a meaningless bowl game. I prefer to look at the whole body of work and the great improvement his defense made year over year.
