No one seems to know how fast JFF really is...it's almost as if Kevin Sumlin sees some competitive advantage to keep that info quiet (sorry for the sarcasm). I don't claim to be a know-it-all, but I've heard he's been clocked in the mid 4.4's. the thing that amazes me though, is how "football" fast he is. He pulls away from guys that are "known" to have better 40 times. Maybe that's because of his acceleration. He hits top speed as fast as anyone I've ever seen.
The best way to neutralize him is to make him throw from the pocket. He's one of those weird QBs that throws a better ball from the run. He'll extend plays with his feet and the cover guys have to keep up for far longer than most can actually cover. I can't imagine having to scheme for him, but if anyone can do it it's Chavis.

If your DL gets caught up in the moment and elects to rush at Manziel, he'll probably make you pay. But if they're disciplined and rush straight up the field with gap control and containment, it could spell trouble for the Ags.
I think this is going to be one of the more entertaining games I've seen in a long time. The X's and O's chess match should be a lot of fun.
I know everyone is focused on the strengths of our two teams (LSU D v. A&M O; but I think the outcome boils down to one simple concept (outside of the obligatory penalties & turnovers)...can the Aggies stop the run? The concept may be simple, but the task will be far from it. I think our DL and LBs will be up to the task, but we have struggled mightily with perimeter tackling this year.

6-6, 310. Definitely not small. Widely considered the top OT prospect in the upcoming draft. We're certainly hoping he elects to stay for his senior campaign. Our tackles against your ends will be a very juicy battle. I think you guys definitely have an advantage up the middle. I expect A&M to roll the pocket and try to get Johnny setup outside of containment, but your team speed will make that very difficult.

Get down
We've been yelling for Johnny to get down or get out of bounds all season. He scares the hell outta me and definitely opens himself up to some big shots. Unfortunately, I don't think the kid knows how to play the game any other way; but he'll have a short career if he doesn't figure it out.
Good luck tomorrow. I'm glad we're finally here (SEC).
