24 hours give or take with no place to stay overnight in Atlanta Airport. Duck Dynasty family was in same situation so they provided entertainment. Made it memorable but it was certainly miserable.

Origin hotel downtown has got to be economical. have no idea what their rooms look like, but I've been there on LSU game day for basic brunch and I liked the vibe.
Any of the downtown hotels have to be ok. Don't go looking for trouble at 2am, but you shouldn't even see any trouble you aren't seeking.
Solid choices for Lod Cook Hotel, Renaissance, and I guess Crown Plaza on benington.
St. Francisville is a bit of a drive, but you'll love the vibe and will definitely come back.

you don't have to be trustee of their portion of their trusts. that just puts you in between them and their money. Better to hire/pay a corporate trustee to manage it for them and distribute their periodic income according to their needs. Your mom can put a clause in there that if they contest anything, then they don't get anything. I don't know what ideas the attorney might have for the living situation and keeping up the house, but they've probably dealt with it before. Make sure you ask about how to write in about addiction clauses. It'll cost about $350 an hour for about $5000 or so and it'll be worth it to pay an attorney. No way you know what to do to include all the paragraphs and back up paragraphs; if the/then this scenarios. Good luck.

never used my tub. wish I had an outlet above it. my outlet is to the left of my sink with no counter space to put my appliances when plugged in unless I drape the cords over the sink. tub side of the counter has tons of counter space, but i'm guessing it's against code.

I'd rather women (your daughter, wife, sister and mom) be hypervigilant than be complacent and let their guard down. it's not a safe city and women who have a false sense of safety are good targets. You won't care until it happens to someone you care about, then you'll be sorry you ever felt the way you do. It's better to safe than sorry.

Having been attacked getting in my car in a parking lot in Baton Rouge, I would offer the following advice: don't be distracted in the parking lot. head up, looking around, stay off phone, keys in hand (better yet put keys on a cord around your wrist because the first thing you'll do when startled is drop your keys), get in car fast and lock it. Also carry a loud horn on keychain and yell fire instead of help. Put mace on there as well. None of this helps if you drop your keys so affix them to your wrist. Finally, if your woman has never hit someone it won't be instinctual to kick them in balls, poke their eyes out, hit pressure points, etc. they should become dead weight and drop down if they can't run away. The one thing to remember is to not get in a car because what they do to you across the train track or wherever will be worse than what happens in that parking lot.

The only problem I have is that the parade grounds are or were trashed and left that way by the Greeks. Haven't been over there in a few years so they may have started cleaning it up before they go to the game. They for sure needed a few more trash cans. The high schoolers all drink on the steps of the union and not one of them pick up their beer cans and solo cups. They just walk around on top of the trash. But none of it seems violent or unsafe other than underage drinking.

don't discount the amount of influence you may have in helping her survive. You can't make anyone become sober or clean, but you can have a solid repeat verbal message. "Don't do this to your kids. Your kids love you. You have a whole life to be a mom still." I don't think you should do an intervention or make you believe you can have any persuasion. One day - come what may - you'll know you did everything you could to give her a reason to not waste her life. Your kids and you will know it and you won't regret it. Just say what you need to say to encourage a better life.
It's worked for a loved one of mine and it hasn't worked for a loved one of mine.

I can't believe I just read this whole thread. I think you'd be doing her a favor by asking if you can be frank with her. Then ask her a question if she's explored medical or dental issues that could be causing her bad breath issue. Just say you don't mean to insult her but hope that she is seeing if it's something that is easily curable.
