re: How accurate is OnX hunting app with property lines

I’ve noticed it to be off 20-50’ especially on north and south boundaries in S AL. You can usually look at the aerials and notice the change in timber stands do not match the lines shown.

Got a buddy who collects them and stores in a tote with his hunting clothes. He has good luck rattling in S Alabama when rut kicks off.

I had about a pound wedged into a beaver dam from 25 or so yds. Got peppered with mud and small sticks
2” pvc is your friend. Poke a hole straight down into damn leaving enough showing for a target. Glue your caps to keep water out. Rarely takes more than 3 lbs. A little rake work after the shot really helps clear the channel.

Have had two contractors do work for us and both run ASV. One guy had issues with his machine and repairs but likes the machine overall. Just says to keep warranty coverage on it.

Wired a backup alarm into a co-workers trailer pigtail.
Wired a car horn into another workers turn signal, again off the trailer pigtail.
Put two giant zip ties on their driveshaft.
They got me back by putting a zillion hole punch dots in my desk/office.

It’s not the confrontation with buzzards that’s the problem. It’s when they nest in them and crap everywhere. Once that happens just set it on fire and start over.

Anything loaded with any of the 110 grain bullets like Barnes TAC or Nosler Varmageddon. If you want to shoot subsonic the the Hornady Sub-X.
Loaned my 300 BO upper to a family member for his little girl to shoot. She’s taken a die and he had shot two more with the 110’s.
I’ve shot a pile of hogs with the 110 Varmageddon with good results.

Foliar application of a high concentration of Glyphosate in the winter is effective. Most other plants are dormant and not likely to be affected.

When I went to replace my L3600, I was looking at the L4701 or MX5400 and leaning towards the 5400. Salesman directed me to the M5660 which came with rear remotes. By the time I added rear remotes and third function I was within a few hundred dollars of a similar setup between the MX and M series. No regrets opting for the larger tractor.

Electric fence, 2 layers 3’ apart. Use the poly tape rather than wire. It “vibrates” in the wind adding another element of deterrence.
Ground is everything on electric fences. Use at least 3 grounds rods 5 foot apart. TSC sells the copper clad ground rods.

Because if you are a private forest owner you’re getting Fk’d on stumpage.
Rather than rakes or brooms, get a backpack blower.

Any pros/cons ? If pro, what’s your regimen ?
Almost always. And a small rechargeable Steamlight. Use the light more than the knife most days.
