re: QB 2026 - Portal?

What about this guy in our locker room?
Last night we saw a slick formation: four WRs stacked on one side, with 6'7 Trey’Dez isolated on the other. He ran a simple route, walled off the defender with his huge frame and caught the game winner.

If him and Nuss really get dialed in, jump ball throws could be a nightmare for defenses. What do we think of the potential here?

Does BK get credit for JD...

and now developing Nuss or nah?
Are they reviewing the catch??
On Sunday afternoon, Texas State will take on No. 2 LSU in the third game of the Astros Foundation College Classic at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

The Bobcats come into Sunday's game with a record of 7-3 so far and are on a four-game win streak after beating No. 15 Texas on Saturday in a narrow 11-10 victory. Ryne Farber led the Texas State offense with a 3-for-4 performance that produced three RBIs.

The Tigers have continued their strong play this weekend and defeated Louisiana yesterday in a narrow 5-4 victory in Houston to improve their record to 10-1 on the year. The team has now won five in a row and will look to extend that to six games on Sunday. Against the Ragin' Cajuns, Hayden Travinski was the only player with multiple hits for the Tigers as he went 2-for-3, producing three RBIs with one home run. Jared Jones recorded one earned run on his one-hit, while the final run for the Tigers came from a wild pitch in the first inning. Gage Jump got the start and the win for the Tigers as he threw for five innings, striking out five batters along the way.

The last time Texas State and LSU met dates back to 2004 and the Tigers swept the Bobcats in a three-game series.

LSU vs UAB Game Preview

Why LSU Will Win
This is the first time all year UAB will face a Power Five program, but there’s a bigger issue.

UAB has to play on the road.

This has been a dominant team inside Protective Stadium. The offense turned it over just four times in the six home games, the defense has been a takeaway machine, and the team plays at a whole other level going 5-1.

On the road the Blazers are 0-4, the D only has three takeaways, the offense turned it over ten times, and the passing game has been an inconsistent dud.

That’s before having to deal with Death Valley at night.

Obviously being on the road matters, but in this it’ll be about trying to hold up against an LSU offense that’s going to try working the kinks back out – yes, this late in the season – after struggling so much against Arkansas.

The passing game has to get going again, the two turnovers weren’t good, and the production needs to be there after the rocky win.

What’s Going To Happen
UAB isn’t just a paycheck game, but LSU is paying for the tune-up.

How did a middle-of-nowhere school like Nebraska ever get to their level of dominance?
Ohio State’s last seven drives spanned:
77 yards
75 yards
84 yards
75 yards
80 yards
63 yards
91 yards
Venables record outside of the ACC? Anyone know. Appears will be soon 0-2 over the same set of years.
Does catching 'every break in the book' include losing three defensive starters, a starting RB, and not allowing a sack in 44 dropbacks?
Against Mizzou?

TDP 9 - 38 4.2 Avg
J Emery 2 - 7 3.5 Avg
Chris Curry 5 - 6 1.2 Avg

Team 51 yards total....We're not controlling sh*t.
Coach won't disclose. However, after reading the following:

COVID-19 testing left Missouri without seven players for its opener against Alabama two weeks ago, but no starters or key backups were missing for the Sept. 26 game.

Would guess that some of the guys being held out from our game are starters just from a probability standpoint.
Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz on his radio show says one positive Covid test has resulted in seven players being out for the LSU game.

Gets sweeter with every passing day.
Guesses to where he'll land? He could attempt to come here right? ...that would be awkward.
Positively....would imagine we are now suddenly on the map for high school QB's looking to set statistical records playing in this offense.

So would he potentially play this coming Fall or is he part of the 2020 class?

Feels like we recruit this type of class every year.... highly skilled DB's and WR's, , an average QB, and some highly rated Athletes who have amazing speed/body types...but precious few top Linemen.

Disliked him very much as a coach

Damn....winningest coach in LSU history, no major scandals, a National Championship, supports our program to this day.

Criminally under-used in the pass offense during his career at LSU.
Non throwing arm....construction of cast ('m not an expert) would indicate support...such that they cleaned out his left shoulder. Just off-season maintenance..
And this run-stopping monster, Siaki Ika, joins the Defense:

....a new scheme to execute perhaps? Creative play-calling where you're not in 2nd and long...3rd and long every damn time so the defense knows you have to throw?
