However, I do think it is legit to have some concerns about next season at this point.
I notice you’ve been low key panicking

What are the figures?

there are no excuses for not fixing the roster
You honestly think Wade (who breathes the game of basketball) doesn’t have a plan for filling out the roster? As I’ve stated before it is better than mismanaging the budget and overpaying for subpar production.

It seems to me that a lot of folks cheered, laughed and skewered McMahon by taking great joy in in the misery of each tough loss by our Tigers.

One poster did this
Raises hand. And it was for the betterment of the program.
I would trade five football nattys for just one MBB title. The fact that the McMahon era went into a fourth chapter was a disgrace and a slap in the face to the fans.
If I had to pull for blowout losses once there was nothing left to play for to stop the bleeding, then so be it.

But if he is truly getting $12m in NIL he will need to produce in year 2.
He’ll probably produce in Year 1. We’re not talking about McMahon here who needs 11 seasons and Bill Gates’ portfolio just to get on the bubble.

That’s all they’ve ever had and they’ll never stop. Being wrong 100% of the time hasn’t stopped them, if their “Wade is never coming back” embarrassment didn’t, is 17-55 didn’t, nothing will. These people don’t care about LSU winning, we have over 4 years proof of that, they want to justify their incorrect predictions from years ago. Thats their only motivation.
Spot on.

the mcmen are emptying the tank with the narratives.
This is all they have at the moment: the supposed narrative that Wade is striking out in the portal. Once Wade makes the tournament, they’ll be pretty quiet.

Sounds like he left it exactly as he found it.
Are you an LSU basketball fan: yes or no?
Funny how you have never answered that simple question.

Hey it’s just facts. Don’t be so triggered and emotional.
Do you know for sure the NIL budgets of McMahon vs. Year 1 of Wade.
Please provide evidence on how you know this. TIA.

Except for no threat of sanctions and having $12 million in NIL yes it’s exactly the same.
17-55 SEC record. Absolutely pathetic!
What program has hired McMahon? Such a great coach right? Shouldn’t be out of work long then…

Imagine these same posters of it were the last guy, they’d be blaming everything and everyone instead of all this fake concern.
Oh yeah the mental gymnastics would be incredible.
They’d rather see us pay $2M for an injury-prone PG that barely played for us and ~$1M for a mid major guy who at times seemed shell shocked at SEC play.
Great money management.

given more NIL money than McMahon got
McMahon could be given $100M for NIL and would still be in the 11 seed play in game. He was the worst LSU coach in any sport that I’ve seen in my lifetime.

Yikes...between this and no signees from the initial list of portal contacts, not a great start.
Yet I would take this current scenario 10 out of 10 times over another second under McLoser.

Jalen Reece in the transfer portal.
That’s a very interesting development either way.

With the roster we had, we should’ve killed Yale(beat them by 2) and we should’ve killed Maryland (beat them by 2).
Newsflash, coach. In the NCAA, EVERY team is good. Making it to the Sweet 16 is praise worthy whenever it happens. It doesn’t matter how much you win by in the tournament. There are no style wins. If Tony Benford won those games (even only by 2 as you point out), do you honestly think Wade would not have won those games by a larger margin?
Last year, Duke definitely had more talent than Houston with three top 10 picks. Yet Houston won. Oh wait - does that mean Kelvin Sampson is shadier in this day and age than “squeaky clean” Jon Scheyer?
I fail to see your argument.

Thank you for your concern. I’ll relay this message to Coach Wade and the staff immediately!

Are any of these jobs available? Maybe McMahon can take one of those. Might be more his level.

To be fair, Houston has a good amount of transfers. Although a few of the transfers are originally from the Houston area and they have an established program/vision. Two things working in their favor so far.
