Quick Gimp question, didn't see answer in 'teach a man to fish'

Been using GIMP for a while, but definitely no expert. Sometimes, when I make GIFs, I get trails and image 'ghosts' throughout various frames. Other times, I don't. Can't seem to figure out why. Any thoughts? Sorry, probably been asked a million times...
