Didier was well regarded for his ability as a scout, both in spotting talent and in charting pitchers and hitters, as well as player development. He is a really interesting person.
If Didier had stayed it's possible that ULL might've made it to Omaha sooner than 2000. Helluva coach.

That one game discrepancy against mighty Southwest Louisiana Junior College at Lafayette seems to be driving you insane.
Read the entire thread. It's not about a one game discrepancy. It's about the difference between 58-28 and 34-20.

Completely untrue, and sad that you would lie about it.
They list LSU as 34-20, because they only go back to 1984 (they moved up from I-AA in 1983).
Considering that it's actually 58-28 maybe it's you guys that are lying.
......The website lsusports.net has an article on tomorrow's night game where they list LSU with a 59-28 all-time edge over the Ragin Cajuns in head to head matchups. However the LSU baseball record book shows a 58-28 lead for the Tigers.
Anyone know the truth? I'm not going to the ULL website because they distort the truth so much that they're liable to have the Cajuns with a lead in the series. I know some of the games have been played in New Orleans as well as the ones in both Baton Rouge and Lafayette and I've wondered what the all-time W-L record is in each of those cities.
Any help on this topic would be appreciated. Thanks.

People acting like there is some massive physical gap between a 19 year old and a 25 year old are stupid as shite.

You're the one who's stupid if you don't know that.

good grief, let it go. It was 117 years ago, when the game was nothing like it was today, or even back in the 40s or 50s.
Why don't you let it go? It works both ways.

Anyone who played on those teams or saw them play is dead. None of them are concerned. This is for your own odd pride
Since you're going to take shots as those of us for wanting to claim it I'll just take the high road and say that you have just as many issues for not wanting to claim it. It's not as though it's going to cost us anything. What about honoring the memory of the guys on that team who represented LSU and played as well as any team in the nation?

The nail in the coffin for me is Auburn unilaterally recognizing multiple national championships this past season and how pitiful it appeared. To me it was widely criticized and laughed at. It only made some of their fans poke their chests out, but I’d bet a lot were embarrassed.
I don't know of any Auburn fan that's embarrassed. Nor should they be.
It's absolutely stupid that we don't acknowledge 1908 especially since the NCAA does.

Don’t see this happening for now. Scholarship’s still eat into athletic budget but they’ll for sure take some flyers.
There's no reason not to. If your opponents have 105 players and you only have 85 then you're at a disadvantage.

This is just more pub for LSU baseball
That ship has sailed.

NIL isn't the issue. Its the unlimited transfers that is the issue. We need 2 year contracts.
Exactly. I couldn't have put it better.

I just wonder if we see him as a G as opposed to an OT.
At that height I would guess tackle but who knows?
We've already signed four receivers. How many more do we need?
We paid Kiffin a lot of money so we wouldn't be a dumpster fire. How is it that Matt Campbell has eleven transfer commits already at Penn St. even though he was hired by them four days after Kiffin was hired at LSU? In the meantime Kiffin has one commit....a 3-star receiver from Hawaii.

Things didn't start out red-hot ahead of the 2022 season. LSU started to get transfer signees as the days/weeks went on and ultimately had a good team. It was a team that also lost 17 players to the portal.
But there were two portal seasons back then. Now there's only one. Kiffin has eleven days left to add some players or we'll be stuck with what we have now and that includes ZERO quarterbacks.
So far LSU has one transfer: A 3 star receiver from Hawaii. Wonderful.
I thought we had all this money and a bunch of guys ready to sign. So far I've noticed some receiver from Hawaii and nothing more.
