DePaul is in the Big East. Fordham, Saint Louis, La Salle, and Tulane are somewhat respectable basketball schools with some decent history..
This reminds me of the Mardi Gras comeback of Pitino versus Dale Brown.
There are 129 teams in FCS and 24 teams make the playoffs. That's less than 20 percent making the playoffs. FBS has 136 teams so less than 20 percent would make the playoffs.

24 teams is a good number. The top 8 teams get a first round bye. The other 16 play each other the first week with 9 v 16 and so on.
I think the pyramid is fine. Unprocessed meat and fruits and vegetables (fresh, frozen, canned) are good for you. Refined carbs like sugar and white flour are not that good for you. Whole grains are great. I think the only mistake is to deemphasize whole grains and nuts.
The North Central QB transferred from a DI school. I forget which one. The River Falls QB is a senior. Don't know if he can get a 5th year at DI.

The talent’s not as good, but DIII is the last refuge of true college amateurism.

No athletic scholarships, but DIII kids can get money for NIL. They obviously don't get it at the same scale of DI, but if you have a lot of money you could theoretically fund a DIII powerhouse.
For those of you who want true college football and playing for your school, then this is for you. So start watching DIII and stop complaining about the current state of the FBS
No. I'm not. Would you want 15 inches of rain in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl? Would you want an ice storm in Dallas for the Cotten Bowl?

No Billy Sims and Steve Owens?

Plenty of NFL teams have replaced black coaches with white coaches. I think Tomlin's consistency is fine and the Rooneys don't run the organization like Jerruh. He could get fired but most likely he'll be allowed to step down, but who is waiting in the wings?
I don't think they have been underrated, but LSU begins the season higher ranked in the AP polls and tends to get the benefit of the doubt more in losses and thus stays in the polls longer.

I do think that LSU has underperformed, but expectations are a little bit different. Minnesota wants to make the playoffs, and there are members of the media and fans in Minnesota who think Fleck is more of a gimmick, but he's less likely to get fired after going 7-5.

They lost Johnson and Glenn. Maybe he wasn't the brains behind the operation.
It's quite a fall. Some owners like Al Davis or Jerry Jones might have been less patient. To go from 15-2 and the 1 seed to most likely 8-9 is a huge fall.
Good halftime show. Jerruh will never have one as good as that.
Navy needs to tell ND that they will play in Annapolis and South Bend instead of a game in Baltimore and let's see what ND says.

Rivalries destroyed by this "new" college football:
USC-Notre Dame
Oklahoma-Nebraska
Pitt-Penn State
Pitt-WV
Washington-Wazzu
Oregon-Oregon St
Oklahoma-Ok State
Maryland-Virginia
Missouri-Kansas
Texas-TAMU(dead for 12 years but back now)

All of these games can come back if the schools choose. I mean I'd be fine if Oklahoma and Nebraska played each other each year as their main out of conference game. The same with Mizzou and Kansas. With 9 conference games in the SEC and B1G one big non conference game of the year is fine.
Tulane and JMU earned playoff births based on rules decided upon by the Power 4 and ND. ND has no right to complain. Miami won and Alabama won. Tulane and JMU got in and yes they got blown out, but there's always blow outs in the NCAA basketball tourney especially in the first and second rounds.

I was rooting for Tulane by the way since I hate Ole Miss more than Tulane. The Power 4 and ND got what they deserved with the playoff format and rules they agreed upon.
He did the right thing. You only go down on your knee when you're ahead in this situation to burn out the clock.
