Because it is sandwiched between Beaumont and Lafayette.

I find it very frustrating. Growing like crazy but can't keep the IHOP open.

Just call Fisher and let them manage it.

How do we have the #3 class with no OL's?

Out of curiosity, how is asphalt stored after it is processed out of the crude oil? Solid that is ready to melt at use?

And get to the Beau Rivage.

At least 15 U.S. sanctioned oil tankers have reportedly broken the complete blockade of Venezuelan oil exports since the Saturday capture of ousted socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro, using so-called “dark mode” tactics to evade capture.

Imagine trying to hide, but you are a boat the size of a football field.

I got Swyft about 5 months ago. Really has been great and dependable. Never get any of the crazy speeds they advertise, but a steady 100-200 mbps and keeps everyone in the family gaming and streaming just fine. I'd say most of the mixed reviews come from them tearing up yards and being asses while they do it. Not the service itself, which is pretty much plug and play.

Buddy said he got to try out one of their thermals on a West Texas hunt and was really impressed for the ~$4k range.

Agree, but fans don't pay the NIL, donors do. Which makes it all the more crazy.

Multiple oil tankers appear to be defying Trump's "complete naval blockade" of Venezuela

They'll be heading towards LC and BR in a couple of hours.

Maduro had 303 billion barrels of proven oil reserves

So I guess a reserve means that, with a great deal of accuracy, this amount of oil can be extracted. But to the lay person it sure comes off like this is all sitting in some tanks ready to be shipped.

From Grok (comparing light/sweet to heavy/sour oil):

quote:

Light sweet crude oil, such as West Texas Intermediate (WTI), is generally priced higher than Venezuelan heavy sour crude, exemplified by the Merey blend. This difference arises because light sweet crude (low density, low sulfur) is easier and cheaper to refine into high-value products like gasoline, while heavy sour crude (higher density, higher sulfur) requires more complex processing and desulfurization, leading to a discount. As of early January 2026:WTI (light sweet benchmark) trades around $57–58 per barrel.
Venezuelan Merey (heavy sour) has historically traded at significant discounts, often $10–15 per barrel below Brent (or similar relative to WTI) in recent periods when sanctions affected flows.

Heavy sour crudes like Merey or Mexico's Maya typically sell at $10–20 per barrel below light sweet benchmarks, depending on market conditions, refinery demand, and geopolitics. Recent geopolitical events involving Venezuela (e.g., U.S. actions and supply disruptions) have created short-term tightness in heavy crude markets, potentially narrowing differentials temporarily, but oversupply pressures in 2026 are expected to keep heavy sour grades discounted. For the most precise real-time comparison, check sources like Oilprice.com, which lists prices for both WTI/Brent and Merey among many global blends. The exact difference fluctuates daily based on supply, demand, and quality spreads.

I actually though there would be a bigger price gap with the extra effort needed to refine the heavy stuff.

Humans arrived in Australia much earlier than Europeans, with scientific evidence pointing to initial settlement by Aboriginal peoples between 60,000 and 65,000 years ago, though debates continue, with some genetic studies suggesting a slightly later arrival around 50,000 years ago, while key archaeological sites like Madjedbebe support the older timeframe. These first arrivals used watercraft to reach Sahul (the combined continent of Australia, New Guinea, and Tasmania during the ice age), establishing Australia's Aboriginal culture, the world's oldest continuous living culture.

That seems crazy to me.
