YES. Just a whole lot of YES.

I'm struggling, but I like the "Tyler Eifert-eds"
What do you got?
What do you got?
Living in Oregon for the last 5 years, the greatest moment thus far was us beating them in the opener.
If the importable happens and they finish the season unscathed, I would not be able to wear sweatpants for fear of everyone seeing my "excitement" about playing them in the NC.

Lastly, if only that was the weirdest thing I will likely see in SF this week.
This is probably more of a thing you'd see on a Tuesday rather than a Friday.

You don't see Bama or USC changing their helmets! Stay distinctive and unique rather than joining the crowd as Nike Sheep!
Keep your eye on USC next few seasons, amazing what losing a few scholarships will change.

When I refer to recruits who are swayed by this kind of thing, I'm only referring to good ones.
The kind that I spoke with here.
And I didn't say that uniforms, helmets, gloves, etc. are the only thing that matters, but they are increasingly important element. In Oregon's case those elements come along with Phil Knights full package of facilities and services. But I guarantee you that Chip Kelly will NEVER say no to Nike.
We shouldn't either.

oh and before some fricktard brings it up:
Uniforms have never, ever, not once, swayed a recruits decision. That is a myth.
Except for ALL the time now.
But other than that, no, never.
Here's the deal. I grew up bleeding purple and gold just like the rest of you, and love our traditions. Specifically when it comes to this conversation we've got uniforms that have aged fairly well with minor tweaks from year to year.
I now live in Oregon, work for Nike, and get slapped across the face with Oregon Ducks propaganda every single day. In no way has that propaganda changed my opinion on them or any other Pac12 team, they all play pansy arse football.
BUT, the one thing I've seen first hand and cant turn a blind eye towards is an increasing amount AND quality of the recruits that Oregon pulls in. Color me a worker bee, but Nike is the #1 reason that Oregon has seen this increase.
Read here for a more impartial take on my statement.
So when Nike and the football team do something to push the envelope, even just a little. Don't bash it just because its new.
Recruits LOVE the newest and best unis, socks, cleats, helmets, base layers and gloves almost as much as winning. If you don't believe this, please spend time with a highly recruited high schooler in any sport.
They pay attention to uniforms more than you think.
Toonces withheld, the more stuff Nike does with the Tigers, the better. Telling Nike "shove these abominations" shows that some people don't get it. And saying that some "rantads love it, they are still in HS" even furthers my point. Because the last time i checked, almost ALL recruits are High Schoolers.
And last thing, the eye of the tiger logo has been part of the program for how long now? Not only is it bad arse, its not exactly "breaking tradition" to use it in an unexpected way (helmets or otherwise), its just smart. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, just recognize that our uniform's "beauty" isn't meant to entice your arse to get off the couch and strap on the pads, its meant to snag the eye of a MUCH younger target.

The gloves are the best part. Can't wait to see them in action.

The next day I was on the Oregon coast wearing my purple and gold and some guy stops me on the beach and says "You're pretty bold for wearing that." I laughed and said Oregon is bold for wearing highlighter colored jerseys, I'm not bold for wearing a winner's colors.
LSU Fans in Oregon. Dream Week.

This may be beating a dead horse, but this has been the greatest week ever since I've moved to Oregon. I've collected so many bets, and gotten so many congratulatory messages. I even overheard Phil Knight earlier today saying that LSU was the biggest, strongest, most athletic team Oregon has played in 20 years.
Yup, its great to be a Tiger in Oregon this week.
