He wasn’t the first Eagle Driver that ejected over Mach was he?
I recall hearing about an F-4/ F-15 midair on Tyndall’s GOA ranges that resulted in the F-15 pilot ejecting over Mach in the early/ mid 80’s IIRC

My Cat’s bilge area is set up for two batts on left side and two on right side for weight balance.
Plus,as just said, if one shits the bed you still have power for the TM

Very happy with my first trip after the switch. Gobs of power used all day running banks and downscanning creek channels. Put them on charge when I got home and hardly touched the needle.
I’m a believer

Also just switched from 3 27 group LA to 3-31 group Li Time/BT. Will be trying out for first time this Sunday

My group 27 Lead acids were 53 lbs apiece. The group 31 Li Times come in at 25 lbs apiece. 84 lb difference out of the back of the BassCat.
Might finally see 80/81mph now, Good Lord willing. ;)

I think your numbers are a bit off… but what was it like beginning work with that new airline Pan Am in it’s infancy?

Question for the OP, shouldn’t juvenile copperheads like that have a green/yellow/chartreuse tail?

Oh, and you cray-cray baw. ;)

This man gets it

Ran a Roadunner with a .060" over 340 in that same time period. Crazy to see what this new stuff is capable of. Modified Teslas are insane to watch

Had my manhood stolen from me Sat night

Took the wife for a simple Valentines dinner. Heading home to do a fire, music and a couple drinks before fun time.
Came up to a light where the road merges from two lanes to one a few hundred yards up. Figured I'd goose it a bit off the light and get ahead of the white SUV next to me before the merge. Even stayed back a couple feet to not give away my plan.
Light changes, I get a nice jump and give the Baby Duramax in my Silverado enough womp um to get clearly ahead before the merge and not crowd the SUV. It was at this point that the gates of hell opened up next to me and an onslaught of horsepower thundered the lane to my right. For a split second I hammered the throttle to lessen the visual pain but was to no avail. At the merge I tuck in well behind the SUV as he screams away from me into the night while emitting sounds from it's exhaust that would rival a trackside seat at Daytona.

arse officially handed to me on a platter.
Manhood ripped from my vehicular body.
Soul kidnapped forever with the judicious application of throttle from the gentleman in the next lane.

As the wife looks over with incredulous dismay I realize my Valentines Day will not end as planned. My desires and thoughts of a lusty finish to the evening stolen like a thief in the night by some dude in a stupid white SUV.

I spent my youth street racing hot cars back in the day. More times than not I was the one pulling away in a glorious combination of horsepower and speed. I knew what most cars on the road were capable of. I knew "the enemy". And while I haven't kept up much with the newer stuff I still thought I had some knowledge of what's out there.
But I learned a hard lesson. There is one vehicle out there that.is the ultimate " sleeper". One that while looks like a mildly sporty SUV but is actually a well-hidden banshee of horsepower waiting to unleash it upon unsuspecting fools

My nemesis Sat evening is known as a Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk. The good folks at Jeep got hammered one night and in a wild, alcohol induced state of mind decided to stuff a Dodge HellCat engine into their demure SUV body.
All wheel drive
707 horsepower
0-60 in 3.5 sec
Top speed 180 mph

Beware good folks of the OT board. Hide yo kids. Hide yo wife

And for God's sake DO NOT challenge one of these soul-crushing beasts on the highways or streets upon which we travel..... Lest ye be made an example as I was last Sat night.

You have been warned...
Frickers have been doing this on Lake Keowee up here for several years. They go to the lighted docks at night and spearfish the bass swimming around in the lighted area. Bottom of johnboats covered with dead bass.
Have threatened several home/dock owners with the spearguns when confronted. DNR ain’t done chit about it.
All doing the poaching are illegals, breaking every law in the books and NOTHING from head DNR office addressing this.

Infuriating…

I thought it was excellent

An absolute crime if Crowe doesn’t get a crack at another Oscar for his portrayal of Goering.

Movie had alot of power to me personally as my Mom grew up in Nuremburg during all of this. Luckily Nuremburg was pretty much the last city worth hitting by the end of the war so it actually came out better than alot of other German cities

I’ve stood in that stadium as a 10 yr old child and still remember the haunting feeling it gave me to be there. The rubble had been cleaned up but you could still see the outline of the swastika behind the podium where that SOB used to speak.

Wish the movie would have showed every one of the bastards being hanged but I’ll settle for what it did show. As an American/German mutt I can proudly say that while I’m proud of my German side, I’m glad for every Nazi that was ever sent to Hell.

My Mom told me of the time when they were still living in an apartment ( It was bombed/destroyed a week later) when the SS showed up at the door. They came to get her oldest sibling, her 11 yr old brother, for the Army. Her mom refused and the SS told her either he comes or they shoot her other three children on the spot. Her mom screamed as they took him away but luckily he was still just training on the outskirts of Nuremburg when the war ended a few weeks later.

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie

Man did I miss the boat on this one
Up 35% for the week
I’ll be the first to say that while he did his duty admirably, what’s to say the POS driving through a school zone while OD-ing deserved a second chance.

Good bet he’ll be high again soon and maybe someones kid or loved one gets hurt/killed through this wasted fricks actions.

Kinda torn on this one….
