Well, we were supposed to get a Camelia Grill, Dicky Brennan's steakhouse, and Johnny Rocket's....still waiting.

Don't forget Drago's... the old man is supposedly still looking for the "right location"

It's not listed on their website as an "upcoming location"

I know, I know. I guess my point was that neither of the two BR pad thais are worth going out of your way for.

True, although recent visits to LA Thai have been great. Merlin and his wife are very interactive with diners, and he'll make anything you ask for.

I like the versions of pad thai at both of these places, but neither are THAT good. The best is at LA Thai Uptown.

No; Merlin & Co. operate LA Thai Uptown now.

I don't get the hype surrounding Port of Call, either. Camellia Grill, however, is a different story. That Doc Brinkers Special is otherworldly.

What's so great about Pocorello's rb poboy? I like Pocorello's in general, but the one time I had that poboy, it had Manda roast beef on it.

When Lundy took lover as a franchisee, the quality of employees took a drastic turn for the worse. You can probably guess why.

I thought now that Corporate Pizza Hut is back in charge, the new employees would be better. Guess I was wrong.

is price a consideration?

I was thinking maybe Domenica... happy hour specials can't be beat.

The two new flavors from Blue Bell are Banana Nut Bread Ice Cream and Christmas Cookies Ice Cream. Banana Nut Bread is a creamy banana ice cream with flavorful banana nut bread pieces, roasted walnuts and a smooth cream cheese frosting swirl. Christmas Cookies Ice Cream combines your favorite holiday cookies – chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and sugar – in a tasty sugar cookie ice cream with red candy cane shaped sprinkles and a green icing swirl throughout.

Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Ice Cream, which was introduced in 2010, is also a Holiday Favorite and proved so when it quickly sold out in stores last year. This year the company will produce even more half gallons of this delightful spiced pumpkin ice cream combined with tasty sugar-coated pecans and a rich cinnamon-honey-praline sauce

I will be trying these 3 flavors, no doubt.

probably 20% off your next order.

I worked as a cook at Pizza Hut during HS and college. When we got busy, we used to turn the breakers off so that the phones wouldn't ring, or we'd just put all the lines on hold. That was several years ago, but it sounds to me like things haven't changed much. Ever since Pizza Hut went commercialized and started mass-producing everything, especially the crusts, it has gone to shite.
No offense to all of you Blue Bell lovers, but compared to Ben N' Jerrys, Blue Bell sucks.

Ben N Jerry's is creamier, denser, and all-round higher quality. Eat some Ben N' Jerrys and then eat some Blue Bell, and the Blue Bell is a significantly inferior product.

There are few local establishments that have a worse hamburger than Bud's Broiler. Camellia Grill is one of them.

Sorry, but I respectfully disagree with you on this one. The Doc Brinkers Special, which perhaps does not technically qualify as a burger, is beyond great. Pair it with an orange or chocolate-cherry freeze, and you have a combo that's tough to beat.

This is my choice in Henderson.
Ben & Jerry's is my favorite, as well.

New Orleans Ice Cream Co. pints are a safe bet, too.

No offense, but if I'm going to Galatoire's, I'm not going for fried chicken.

Fiorella's is too inconsistent. Sometimes it's really good, but sometimes they overcook it or the oil is too hot and it burns it. I don't like taking my chances there anymore.
Powerman lives in Houma? Used to date a girl from Houma; she got away from me though.
You are thinking of Horinoya on Poydras. They have some great items on the menu -- my personal favorite is the steamed monkfish liver. I've also had the black cod and yellowtail neck and both were great.

I've eaten at both Lil' Dizzy's after I'd heard good things about it. Was unimpressed.

For fried chicken in NOLA, McHardy's is the best.

Sounds good to me.

I always go for the cheeks first, and people look at me like I'm crazy.
Just curious as to what you order? Last time I ordered some turtle soup that tasted like swampwater and a seafood platter which sucked as well. Best thing was the damn strawberry daiquiri with whipped cream and getting the little smashed penny from that machine.
Nowhere near as good as it once was. I love the location; you don't expect a place like that to be there. The food however leaves a lot to be desired.

Blueberry is my favorite...

I also get strawberry, banana, and chocolate from time-to-time...
