isn’t the KC new stadium even closer just across the river?

Closer to what? Arrowhead is in Kansas City. The new dome will be ~13 miles west of it.

All he had to do was dunk the basketball anywhere but the back of the rim.

Oof!
Well the World Cup is happening in Missouri so…not sure what kansas is worrying about.
Pretty bad loss. Not a nail in the coffin, but Texas certainly shut the lid on us. Need to be red hot from here on out and I just don't see it.

No. 17 Wrestling Bests No. 16 Oklahoma

COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 17 Mizzou wrestling surged past No. 16 Oklahoma, 23–14, on Thursday, Feb. 12, in a pivotal SEC showdown. The Tigers captured six individual wins and rattled off five straight to swing the momentum firmly in their favor. Missouri climbs to 12–7 (1-0 SEC) with the victory, handing Oklahoma its fourth conference loss of the season at 10–5 (0-1 SEC).

Oklahoma native No. 26 Gage Walker (133) picked up the Tigers' first win of the day over Oklahoma's Carter Schmidt, 8-6. No. 22 Josh Edmond (149) secures the victory in the 149 bout by a score of 4-2 over Hunter Hollingsworth, igniting the crowd on Senior Night. Columbia's own No. 30 Teague Travis (157) dominated his bout by a score of 14-4 at 157 pounds. The Redshirt senior picked up four takedowns and a reversal against Oklahoma's Layton Schneider to earn the technical fall.

Redshirt junior J Conway (165) picked up his fourth dual win at 165 pounds in a close decision, 8-6. No. 10 Cam Steed (174), coming off Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors, picked up a win over Trae Rios, 21-3. Redshirt freshman No. 3 Aeoden Sinclair (184) picked up five takedowns in 90 seconds, ending the bout in the first period by a score of 22-6.

By virtue of beating Oklahoma in the only matchup between SEC schools, Missouri claimed the SEC Championship for the 2025-26 season.

Might be in the tournament if they can just not fall apart.

Maybe I have selective memory, but I feel like Dennis Gates teams have usually gotten hot in early February through mid February before epically collapsing down the stretch.

EDIT: I have selective memory. Just looked it up. Disregard!

Missouri is such a strange team. They have some god awful losses but they also have some of the best SEC wins this year.
