I totally agree with this. I am a LSU and UL alumni and I think while LSU is a national research university...UL is redneck U and therefore the flagship.

Kelly's problem is he put everything into recruiting Bryce Underwood and did not recruit another QB. When Bryce flipped, he was left without options and by the he had already checked out and did not care anymore.

Under such conditions who pays the bills. The university, the state ( a.k.a tax payers) ?
NIL is being funded by millionaire and billionaire boosters. They are doing this for ego and influence...but at some point they will realize that this does pay back as much. For every $t they spend, these guys want $5 back. What happens when they do not get that back.
I think the system takes care of itself in a few years when the money runs dry.

Mondo's excuse is just that, an excuse. He would be a household name here in the US and be very wealthy.
Lot of US athletes are not dual citizens, so they do not get the opportunity to go shopping.

Its the $$$$$$ stupid....plain and simple....
By the way the tiger fan in me would always consider Mondo in par with Burrow, Shaq, Pete M, Billy Cannon, Simone Agustus, Sylvia Fowles, Angel Reeves and all the other champions that we have produced.
