The thing about our offense is that it totally doesn't let the best athletes shine.
Oh I agree with you we need to get the ball to the best athletes. However, I think using formations and getting people in motion allows QB's to read defenses easier as well as allowing receivers to get free from press coverage and other advantages as well as create mismatches.

EXACTLY.
2nd and 1 PA go deep to Moss or Andre Johnson was fricking money.
I do not post much but the game last night reminded of a comment by Bernie Kosar when he faced Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. He commented how Miami was running this pro style offense and Nebraska was still running defensive schemes still from the 70's. Our offense has to become more cutting edge with the athletes they have at LSU. My take FWIW.

Aggressive can be run out of a very simple I-form Play action offense.
Aggressiveness is defined when it's 3rd and 2 or 3 to go. Les will hand off 90% of the time on 3rd and 2 or 2nd and 1. Aggressive is a PA go deep on 2nd and 1. Or a PA roll out on 3rd and 2 or a shotgun 5 wide on 3rd and 3.
When the U was winning their National Titles, playaction out the I was their bread and butter. Pro Style offense with a bunch of athletes at the helm. Many people commented on the simplicity of their offense but it worked because it took advantage of their athletes.
re: Is this FINALLY the lesson that we can't play super conservative on O?

that guy never really existed, and if he did, it was for a brief moment in 2007
les has alawys been conservative on offense at LSU
I agree almost reminds you of Bo Schembechler. CLM is way too conservative on offense. CLM is going to need to bring in one of these cutting edge offensive minds as the OC to compete with Saban.

me too!....wish i could find a party to watch the game....only been here six months though, dont know anyone...
Try Humperdink's in Arlington. They usually have a huge LSU following. I am not sure if anything is going down in downtown Funky Town (Fort Worth). Now for Saints games the Buffalo Wild Wings in Bedford off 183 is the spot. They actually have a room designated just for Saints fans. The Who Dat Nation has a strong presence in that camp.
Email me at privaguillory@gmail.com if you find a party and I will hit you back if I hear anything.
