Have had their gumbo many times and not once did I not think it wasn't extremely good.
re: Anyone ski Purgatory in Colorado?

Did it a few years ago. Durango is a nice little town and then the resort is like 30 minutes drive from there. If staying at the resort, there is basically nothing to do once night comes around so if you are wanting to go out or eat late or any of that, it isnt an option. The actual mountain was nice and fun and not to crowded.
re: TGL is DOA, huge viewership drops between last season and this season and week to week

I didn't even know the second season had started nor do I have any idea time of day or day of the week its on. Feel like that is their biggest issue because I would watch it. Enjoyed Season 1.

I recently did something like this in my 2008 4runner. Wanted Apple Carplay and went with Sony XAV-AX3200. Works great and am very happy with it. Went through crutchfield which will have everything you need and excellent customer service to make sure you have everything you need and also help with install if you are doing it yourself.

Youngsville and Broussard area, low crime and close to everything.
Would disagree but just depends what you are looking for. Youngsville/Broussard is mostly all new development for the most part. If they are interviewing in Lafayette proper then I would not recommend moving out to Youngsville/Broussard unless you want a small commute. Ive never seen the appeal of those areas and there are plenty of great areas to live in Lafayette proper in all price ranges.
Staying inside the area of Johnston, Ambassador, Kaliste Saloom, and Pinhook is a good starting point but there a ton of great spots to live all over the city depending what they are looking for/price point.

Went through this recently with my 2008 4runner. Wanted carplay but didn't want to dump a bunch of money into it. This has been great and is consistently on crutchfields top list. Sony XAV AX3200

Having been to both in the last couple years, I would do highlands.
re: I have a roux question related to doubling the recipe
Posted by LSUDbrous90 on 12/5/25 at 2:49 pm to Stadium Rat
My recipe I use is 8:1 and I like a very thick roux gumbo. Can't imagine going much thicker before its not really gumbo anymore. 32 cups (8 quarts) of stock and 2 jars of roux (16 oz each so 4 cups). What Stadium said about 6:1 being a limit sounds about right.

Did new years in Berlin a few years ago and had a great time. Would highly recommend.

I watched the first two hours of it last night and thought it was pretty entertaining. Not too reality show'ish and a fun watch. I knew who luke kwon was but have never consumed any of his content. He is a massive douchebag. We have all missed a tee time before for whatever reason but people that act like he did are insufferable and shitty people. Unless its all just a bit.

Yeah Cane Row is actually in great shape right now. Doesn't particularly apply to what OP is looking for but no need to shite on CR. To echo what everyone said LT or Oakbourne is what you are looking for. Both have their pros and cons depending on specifics of what is important to you. Would go visit both before you make a decision if you can.

The longer this goes, the more I become worried. Even an email or some kind of news response would be nice but the fact they are silent makes me think this is a really big deal with some potentially large consequences.
Regardless of all this, they have completely eroded the publics trust to begin using this or continue using this.

re: Lennox Thermostat
Posted by LSUDbrous90 on 10/6/25 at 9:55 am to geauxbrown
If you haven't gotten a solution yet this may or may not help.
I also inherited a lennox system a while back and the way this particular system was setup only allowed for Lennox thermostats because of the way the thermostat communicated with the unit. I found this out the hard way when I tried to install a Nest or one of the smart thermostats and it did not work at all. This was like 6 years ago.
Anyway, just throwing it out there that it could be an issue if the thermostat not properly communicating with the unit as that is something proprietary for Lennox.
What is the specific problem when you say you can't get it to come on? Like it won't even power up?

Had anyone played the refuge before and after the redesign? I had played it many times before the redesign and really enjoyed it. Played it like a month after it reopened and I was not a fan at all of the new layout. Obviously it was in fantastic shape since it had just gotten redone but they took out so many trees and rerouted a lot to where I felt like all of the holes were on top of eachother. Feel like I might need to give it another chance.

I fricked up and didn't realize you have to purchase all of the tickets you are alotted or none at all. I got 4 tickets for three practice days and 4 tickets for thursday and 4 for friday. Almost 2k for all of them. Would love to keep 2 for the Thursday and Friday. Does anyone have any idea how easy it is to sell for at least face value and where to sell them? Don't mind dropping the 2k if I know I can move the ones I don't want pretty easily

I also have the roborock Q5+ and its honestly head and shoulders above anything I previously had. You made a good decision. For the price it is probably hard to beat.
re: LVP vs engineered hardwood
Posted by LSUDbrous90 on 8/4/25 at 8:50 am to LSUisBetterthanU
We put down some in part of our home and its fine. It was replacing 50 year old carpet when we bought the house and we needed something hardy and inexpensive until we could eventually put something better down. We have a 100 pound golden retriever so we figured this was the most indesstructible that didn't look like shite. No one is mistaking it for wood floors but it does its job.
What floors are people going with that have large dogs/don't want to worry about treating the floor super carefully? We are going to be renovating a significant portion of our home in the next 5 years and haven't even thought about which directions to go. Brick? White oak hardwood? Tile?
