Most newer residential subdivisions are designed with a public right of way that is wider than the street surface. Technically, my dog is shitting on a lawn owned by the city/county, you just mow it for them.
The novelist Harry Crews. A Feast of Snakes, Body, & A Childhood: The Biography of a Place are outstanding books about life and the crazy people in rural Georgia. He wrote many more books and short stories but those 3 are especially good. He's from Alma, GA.
My dog self adjusted to the prong collar immediately, went from crazy pulling to walking along side me the first time she wore it.

It's my understanding that you want as small a collar as possible. I had to exchange the first one I bought because even with removing links it was still sagging on her neck. I found that a snug fit works best for my dog. It's a bit hard to explain without seeing it but basically the prongs are actively touching the neck yet until the dog pulls there is no pressure. When the dog begins to pull the chain part of the collar tightens up and the prongs start to bite. That's all it takes to whoa up my dog.

Keep the dogs normal collar on just in case you need to grab hold of something. My dog wears the prong above her standard collar, closer to base of head.
I have a 4 month old GSP. She was born white with a brown head and 1 other large brown spot. A week or so later her feet started getting dirty looking and now she is covered in spots. My breeder said the 'dirty feet' is the sign that the pup will be ticked.

If it's a popular neighborhood then probably a good idea. Hard to say though without getting into location details.

Yeah Augusta Rd and North Main are the hot spots. Large lots in a zoning district with small minimums combined with huge demand for those neighborhoods. Tons of contractor trucks in Greenville these days.

Seeing a lot of this in Greenville. Often the dirt is more valuable than the old home. House is demo'd and the lot is split up. Main complaint is sometimes the new homes don't compliment existing in architecture.
Hincapie just released a statement admitting to doping during his career.

I would link it, but I think his website is crashing due to traffic.

eta: Did George ever test positive during his time on the US Postal team?

I lost time off what few years I've got left watching that game. Good god.
I saw something similar on twitter. Committed to us but was told there was no offer to commit to. Wtf?

How much are football tix now? I wanna say I paid like $12-$20 for home games in the late 90s.

My memory is a bit hazy of those years (1995-98) but I think I recall student football tickets at $12 for all 6 home games. 2 bucks a ticket.

the resurgence of the famed 3rd down draw

From what I read Murray checked into that 3rd down draw with Boo at Missouri. Yeah it worked, but still. I'd love to know our stats for 3rd and long since Bobo has been OC.

Am I correct in that we will get everyone back on D after Vandy? Full strength for UT and the rest of the schedule?

Let JJ play some, maybe the entire first half assuming the leg feels good. I think you want the starters out there for a while to go through the gameday situations and keep an edge on. But I'm all for sending in the backups in the 2nd half or anytime the game is comfortable. I don't ever want a Tyrone Prothro to happen at UGA.

There's a way we can exploit these three RB's talents but I don't think we're doing it correctly just yet.

Maybe the coaches haven't figured out how to handle a RB that isn't asking to come out after 2 plays? Seriously though, I'm wondering if the coaches aren't somewhat surprised by what they've got in the 2 freshmen? Did they honestly think they could handle the load right out of the gate? And I don't think Marshall has looked bad, it's just Gurley has been outstanding for a true freshman. From what I've seen in two games, the running game needs to begin and end with Gurley.
Any recruits coming in this weekend or they holding out for Tenn / Vandy games?
I just added those of you who posted their twitter handles. Follow back if you want, but I don't do much other than retweet UGA and triathlon news. @Jeff_UGA
Looks like Ogletree is staying in Athens also. Per Gurley's twitter.
Saw on twitter that Dantzler stayed in Athens.
Yeah, you are probably right. I read it as Seth has some kind of secret, but I've been reading too much about all the suspensions and that whole smoke and mirrors game the coaches are playing.

Is Zander that bad that he's not even suiting up for special teams? Damn. So Tree is really accounting for 2 of our football scholarships.
Do any of you know if something happened with Zander? Maybe I missed something on an earlier page in this thread but I don't recall any news about him being suspended. And then Emerson's comment in his mailbag today struck me as odd.

But as for speculating on Zander, who did not play, I’d prefer not to go there.

Is it me, or does our boy lean into it a little bit to ensure good solid contact?
You should have seen what the student section looked like when Bobo was the quarterback.

I'll give them a pass for this game (inferior opponent, noon kick, and heat), but it is sad to see empty seats at conference games with the relative success we've had for many years now.

But I can't say too much, I didn't even make the drive to Athens. From my view on the couch, the stadium looked like the spring game by the 4th quarter.

what's up with the "pronunciation" column?

Oh-Koy-yeah

it's near north campus, an easy downhill walk to the stadium. As far as I know, it's the only free lot left on campus that doesn't take forever to walk to the stadium from. For all I know they might have maid it a pay lot this year though.

The little parking lot on Thomas Street? I've parked there many times, but you are right, you have to get there early.
This map should help, free lots are in red.

fyi: the lots on Thomas St. had port-o-johns available the last time we tailgated there. Important information if you have wife and kids.
Thanks for the replies, perhaps I can convince the family to hold off for a conference game (that's not at noon in August) to make better use of the time and cash. Nothing against Buffalo, but I'd rather wait for better competition.
Opinions on cost of 3 tickets to Saturday's game purchased shortly before kickoff? I was planning on watching from the couch, but now the wife and son are pushing to go to Athens. 20 bucks each - too low / too high?

The Fed just finished a probe on him, and he was acquitted. You mean to tell me the USADA had a sample the was "Fully consistent with blood doping" yet noone else has been able to come up with this?

They have had the better part of a decade to make accusations against Lance. At some point, you have to say this is just a witch hunt.

+1

He's been found guilty of doping by an agency that didn't even exist when he won some of his yellow jerseys. At the same time the agency that oversees the sport of cycling has found no evidence to proceed with any further investigation.

From my understanding the USADA's main evidence is the testimony of other cyclists, who have all been found to have doped. They failed the same drug tests that Lance never failed.

Did he dope? Maybe.
Is he a jerk? I've read that he is a total a-hole.
Is he stupid for dumping Sheryl Crow? Yup

Nonetheless, the method by which USADA has arrived at their ruling really bothers me. Any other professional cyclist would be ruined at this point if they didn't have Lance's cash flow, yet there is still no evidence that he doped.
