Good to see the homegrown kid get his first goal in Timbers green!
As for why the Timbers suck, I'm of the opinion that they typically have terrible service from their midfielders. If you recall, Cooper wasn't any good with Portland, either.
The only time they seem to be dangerous with any consistency is when they keep the ball on the ground, but they'll put crosses into the box 90% of the time. Boyd didn't become the SPL career goal leader by putting in headers, he's a goal poacher.
Their defense is ok, but they have to put more shots on frame, much like they are tonight.

I lurk pretty much every day, I'll try to post more often. I follow clubs in most of the larger leagues, but my true loves are the Timbers, the Gunners, and the US of A.

Arsenal supporter here. I'd say I was rooting against Barcelona more than for Chelsea.
