re: Baseball: Tulane 2 @ LSU 13, Final

Have there ever been two sets of back-to-back HR's by the same guys in the same inning for LSU?

And Charter doesn't offer CST.

How old is the kid? The only recent name that comes to mind is Damien James...Maybe the kid has his mom's last name?

I've got Charter (in Covington,LA) and don't see it.

There truly is such a thing as a "silent majority".

For a lot of folks, rather than remain silent and risk being thought a fool, rantards open their mouths (or in td.com's case type on their keyboards) - and remove all doubt.
pu**ies...for both the men and the women.

bullshite calls all game. They stick their butt out and cause the contact, then the foul gets called on us. Also, they lower their shoulder when driving, and nothing gets called. Hate having to play five on eight!

I agree. The two coaches mentioned are prime examples. Would Gene Stallings be another ecxample of a good coach getting run off?

I heard it caused $10,000,000 worth of improvements...

This is the same Roy that was recruiting Lester Earl in Hawai while he was in an LSU uniform. Frick Roy Williams and his good guy image...

I remember the player that was Earl's roommate in Hawaii confirming that Williams called Earl multiple times trying to get him to transfer to Kansas.

Screw Roy Williams.

As the Knoxville News Sentinel reports, Shrigley's new business will offer a full-range of hair and nail options just a few miles down the road from the University of Tennessee. This could present an awkward, Three's Company-esque situation one day because Bruce Pearl totally gets manis and pedis at least twice a week. The odds of him stumbling into Alimony's after going to the same strip mall for his spray tan are pretty high.

Rivals Article
I get the sense that Trent has an overall plan and scheme (offense, defense, and direction of the program), and never got the same comfort level with Brady. Also, I believe Trent does a better job of substituting during the course of the game.
Chavis - Initial thoughts on talent level on his last Tn. squad vs. what he will have at LSU next year?

Cooper - Has he evaluated any of LSU db's perfromances from last year - and if so if there something he might do differently scheme-wise?

Haley - What types of schemes/techniques does he like to use?
From article in today's T-P (Peter Finney column):

"...He told the story of life on the recruiting trail, about a recent visit with a Bastrop blue-chipper whose mother asked Saban if he would do her the favor of signing a football.
Yes, he would.
Would he mind signing, "Go Tigers"?
Why not?
"Geaux Tigers," wrote the Alabama coach, the ultimate diplomat."

I didn't see the article on NOLA.com yet, so I can't post a link. It was at the very end of the article.

Would seem to be a good sign to me that the recruit's mother wanted "Geaux Tigers". The question would be, is this RR he's talking about?

I disagree with this. He brought Pelini in knowing that he wanted to be a head coach. I also believe that Miles recommends his staff for "step up" positions elsewhere if that's what they want to do (or even if they're being pushed out like this year).

Also, Miles doesn't have the ego to have to have a public blood-letting if things do not work out. He handles things much more subtly.

dmitch, I'm sure you realize that some posting on here are really fans of other schools, just posing as LSU fans and trying to send bad vibes to recruits, family members, players, etc.

Don't let a few a**holes get you down. Hope your family has nice christmas - and remember: GEAUX TIGERS!!

Gary Gibbs - a potential DC candidate??

I would not be surprised if doesn't survive at the Saints. Although you can trace a lot of the poor defense to lack of talent in the Saint's defensive backfield, at some point you have to look at coaching for being unable to adjust to the talent you have. What if he is let go and wants to get back to the college game? He was our LB coach before going to the Saints. Thoughts?

Was it Dinardo getting rid of Carl Reese? I seem to recall that they weren't getting along - and then he brought in Lou Tepper.
I believe our WR coach (McCarthy) may have coached with him at UCLA. If he's a candidate, this may have something to do with it - either McCarthy selling Walker to Miles and/or him selling LSU/Miles to Walker.

He's limited by the runways. For example, the runway at the Auburn airport is too short...planes with that much weight on board would need a much longer runway to be able to land and stop in time.
