That is how a lot of restaurants do it.
Ovide in the Hotel Effie and Bitterroot would be two high on my list. Tuscany is good, as well as the Marina Cafe.

No link? No picture? If you know your thread is gonna get whacked, at least show the goods before it's gone...
Incoming food poisoning thread from old crab fat!. Just kidding man. I have never heard of this product. Where do you get it?
They are damn good, but they are very proud of those steaks. We hit them about every 2-3 years during the summer.
Miramar Beach in February is fantastic. No crowds, the pace is a lot slower, and the beach is beautiful.

An unexpected visitor was the fog rolling in off of the Gulf. We have been coming here for over 40 years and this is the first time I’ve seen it. Pretty cool. We hit up some old familiars, and a new(to us) spot. First was Camille’s. During the summer when we come, you can shoot your way in here, but in Feb. we walked right in. Food was on point. I had a Gulf shrimp linguine.

Our next stop was Cantina Laredo. It’s our guilty pleasure down here. Always consistent and better than most cheaper Mexican places. No pics here, my phone died. The next night we hit up Commelfo’s. This is a place we tried a couple years back when it was new and wanted to give it another try. They still aren’t there yet in my opinion. Food was good, but not equal to their pricing. I had the shrimp gnocchi.

Our final stop was Greek at Aegean. Got the Gyro platter with Greek potatoes. Was quite filling. Everything was tasty and fresh.

Nice quick getaway!
It was streamed on several platforms with a bunch of links. I would imagine that "if" it is still growing, it is the tabulations of all the streams that carried it. Just a guess though...
Yes!

Haydel's
Manny Randazzo
Joe's Donut version Not the baked one
Caludas
Tartine
Brennans

Dong Phoung just doesn't taste like a king cake to me. It's more of a coffee cake texture.
Haydels ships on Goldbelly. FWIW, All the ones I shipped from them went overnight. My people loved the ones they got.
Haydel's is my go to for my shipping. I sent a bunch and everyone was very happy when they got them.
This is interesting. Seems like a really long proof for a king cake dough. I'm willing to try it.
ALDI is the TEMU of groceries. I've gone in there twice, specifically looking for something that people said ALDI carries all the time. Both times they didn't have it. Their staff is super limited, and the customer service is almost no existent. I'll pay a few more cents for variety, free grocery bags, a free grocery basket, and more than one check out line.

Google is your friend......
Commanders Palace
Brennan's
Ralph's on the Park
While this looks delicious, and I would eat the hell out of it, It is really not a king cake. All these "king cakes" coming out are getting a bit ridiculous. It's just a Muffuletta shaped in an oval. There are sushi king cakes, boudin king cakes, eclair king cakes, and now apparently a Muffuletta king cake. Who were the guys about 10 years back that did a king cake parody videos? They created all kinds of crazy concoctions and i think Muffuletta was one of them.

ETA: Someone posted it below! Larry Ragusa. It was 15 years ago. Here it is for your viewing pleasure Larry Ragusa King Cakes the OG Muffuletta King Cake
It wasn't good last year either. Guess they are just throwing it out there in hopes to sell it on the name.
According to their website, there are none within 50 miles of NOLA. Where do you get them?
Hormel used to make Little Sizzlers. I used them in my cabbage for New Year's Day. I have been in a rut the past three years since they have been gone. I've tried a bunch of different replacements, but none fit the bill. Anyone know of anything similar in the NOLA area?
Pic for reference
