Honestly with schools paying players, LSU isn’t the top dog it use to be, don’t get me wrong it’s still the elite but there more parity.

We’ve won 2 of that past through (I guess you can say 2 of the last 4 now). This isn’t the first year paying players. You’re right in more parity but it’s just because more schools care. In Skips day no one really cared that much to invest heavily. But one bad year doesn’t change that we still have more recent championships than anyone.

What is more controllable is being a consistent team every year.

I see your point, but strategy absolutely plays a part in the equation to success in the tourney. You think DVH has failed to win it by pure being unlucky? We’d have to agree to disagree.

More than that. A true measure of a coach is how they do without MLB picks on the team. Jay Johnson gets an F.

Is that the measure because you say so? What team in the SEC is being successful without MLB picks? Lol this is up there for retarded posts of the year. Kudos for the laugh.

Is LJ considered fast?

You’re kidding me with this dumb question lol
Now do Dylan Crews, Jared Jones, and Ethan Frye. There’s going to be many examples both ways

Wait did someone really say we just got hot last year and weren’t shite? Wtf lol
So how is he different than any of our other players? Including some of our “stars”? Weird thread

There are 4-5 coaches in the SEC better than JJ.

Name them
They’ll beat USC at home but none of the others very likely

He’s going to have to hit big in the portal. We have some young talent, but not nearly enough. And not sure any of them are cornerstone piece type guys.

Pearson has a long long way to go

We are just talking about this team this year. In which THIS team could very well end up worse record wise than any of Smokes teams. We aren’t saying Jay is automatically another smoke if it does happen lol.

Well in that case, I agree this time may be worse than all of Smoke’s teams. Guess I just didn’t understand the point lol. This team is worse than many teams we’ve had.

Smoke's last team won thirty-five games. This team doesn't have twelve more wins in them.

Smoke also couldn’t win a game in the CWS. The two are different
Agreeed in both points. For him he’s given grace because of the unbelievable start to his coaching career. He’ll need to pick it up next year though.

He’s batting like .200 in SEC play. So I’d say yes that’s a good statement.
The team that is beating our arse this weekend has a Friday night guy with a worse ERA than both Evans and Schmidt.

3 hits in 6 innings.
NOT
GOOD
ENOUGH
Thankfully you don’t think like Tommy White, Skenes, Dickinson, etc. think.

Our whole team is idiots
quote:

Not sure but what I do know is these guys who beat Aggy last year can’t even compete with them this year. That’s not all on the player

That’s just where we disagree. Which is fine. It’s not 100% on the player, but it’s glaringly obvious they have much better ones. Which helps. All in all still coaches who got these players assembled anyway.

What the hell are we going to do when we lose the entire outfield and our SS next year

Hopefully get better players. I agree we’ll have to hit the portal like crazy. And hopefully not miss again. Which is scary
