I can only assume they dig out the fissile material and were using other centrifuges to construct the bomb. The phrase “within days” was used several times by the WH several times over the past several weeks in the lead up to the strikes.

If you believe the intelligence (unknown because Trump did not share with congress before) then Iran was preparing to build a bomb “within days” to strike Israel. That would undoubtedly be a long war.
Finish what we started. Israel can’t do this themselves and it is unwise to have assassinated the Ayatollah if we’re not committed.
We knew from the beginning this would not be possible with an air campaign alone. That’s never been done, and it definitely isn’t possible with a country the size of Iran and with their terrain.

Israel has been trying to unify the Middle East against Persian interests for 50 years. We finally have a coalition of Arab states that will turn against Iran in support of Israel.
Consider what happened yesterday - we essentially convinced Iran to attack every major Arab nation in the GCC, as well as Iraq. Now they will never support Iran, and this all but ensures we will have a new regime that is amenable to Israel.
For too long Israel has lived in fear that Iran was plotting every day to wipe them from existence. As our biggest ally in the region and the only true democracy in the M.E., we have been deficient in supporting them for too long.
That all changed yesterday.
