Was the success coming from just the coach?

I have made the LSU fanbase my bitch.

You've got to admit that he's right.
:dunno:
Your thread title is very much like a NY Times, or WaPo headline. It's not exactly true, BUT it's not exactly false!
He's said that on several occasions.

That guy's GOOD! He's probably the technical director of LANDMAN.
I well remember that team, especially their pitching staff. They beat a Dave Magadan led Alabama team in the finals.
NICE!
This should be good for 3-5 pages, and and a minimum of 20 coonass howling responses.

Ask yourself this question and you will have your answer: Who would you rather have coming off the bench to spell Sherrell, Charles Bediako or Noah Williamson?
It couldn't be put more simply.
I see no quotation marks.
How about handling that, and while you're at it, give us the credit info on its author (as one should always do.
The story goes that Coach Bryant called Coach McClendon up once to ask if he'd consider letting Alabama play some of the Tide's home games at Red Stick stadium when LSU was on the road. :pimp:

Yet only one person in this thread has been banned for posting racial slurs, and it's not a Bama fan. Nice try.

I don't have to try. The state of Alabama is known for 2 things racism and incest.

Alabama constitution

Now show us the state constitutions of every other SEC state south of the Mason-Dixon line. We'll be waiting.
I doubt that our govt doesn't really know for sure how to proceed at this point. Firstly, we know that the cartels are more powerful than the Mexican army. Also, nobody within the govt. can be trusted.
About all our folks can do is offer military material (drones, satellites, etc.) support to President Pardo,

It's a long-game, for sure.

The blame is on who outsourced all our labor and forced us to do so much importing of goods.

Those who sold us out many decades ago are to blame.
Factually this occurred when nat'l unions became too powerful and took over control of our manufacturing, and transportation industries, along with many other national, state and local entities in the country.
Hadn't an invitation already been made and declined BEFORE he cracked the joke?...I believe so. If so...WTH?
3-2 with him
5-0 without him

We'll be OK.

35-point blowouts vs Indiana will do that
About the only things worse than that would be

2024 -- 42-13 blowout in your home stadium
2020 -- 55-17 blowout in your home stadium
2018 -- 29-0 blowout in your home stadium

All by that team that lost to Indiana.
BATON ROUGE:
Coach Bryant's favorite place to coach a football game!

It's absolutely amazing how the staunchest liberals will finally leave a state that their politics have totally destroyed, then migrate to a state that's doing well, continue with their old politics until they take the new state down, then move along to the next.
There's a name for that type of creature in nature. It's called a....shite FLY.

Always seemed to be a mutual respect and understanding between Bama and UK. We made this conference. One of the best conversations I ever had was at a Bama UK basketball game in Tuscaloosa, around 1999 or 2000 I believe, with some older UK fans sitting next to me. I was 21 at the time and it was just a pleasure to talk to the older UK fans at that time. Mutual respect and admiration for Bama football and UK basketball was a conversation I could have partaken in for days.
I've had the same experience with Ky fans going all the way back to the late 60s. I was a Tide season ticket holder for many years when I lived in Tuscaloosa, and very much looked forward to both the huge Cat fan numbers, and their great knowledge of college basketball when they'd come to Tuscaloosa.
I once was at a small reception for Coach Rupp (I believe his last coaching year), and Coach Bryant. A lot of folks don't realize that they were BOTH coaches at UK for a while. What I remember most was the story that Coach Bryant told about the year (1950-1951) that Bryant won Kentucky's FIRST SEC championship, and Rupp won the Nat'l Championship
Coach Bryant told us that at the year-end Alumni Banquet, the University presented him with a beautiful gold watch with "SEC Champs" initialed on the back. After he thanked everyone for his fine watch, they called Coach Rupp up to the podium and presented him with.........a new Fleetwood Cadillac! Bryant said,"it was time to go!

Alabama is only good at one sport too chief.

Alabama is 2nd only to Kentucky in most SEC wins, I believe.

Great player, but gives up a lot on the defensive end.
I'm guessing that Cal wouldn't want him to play defense too tightly because (1) He needs to avert any chances of getting into foul trouble, and (2) he needs to save as much energy as possible. The kid played nearly the entire game including the OTs in last night's game, and if he had pressed his defensive effort, I suspect the quality of his offensive effort may have diminished late in the 2nd half....IMO. :dunno:
