Problem with your premise is that it’s been about 50/50 for Bama fans on DeBoer since he was hired anyway. Sure we’ve cheered for the team, but many of the s have never and still don’t believe he’s the right guy.
It was a bad hire based a very small sample size. A very barnesque hire if you will.

Are you watching the game? Indiana looks like Bama vs Notre Dame in 2012. They’re doing whatever they like on either side of the ball. They’re clearly the better team.

A lot of that can be blamed on Title IX because there’s no way in hell they would let male NCAA athletes get paid big bucks and the female athletes not make equal.
Bowl games have never really mattered. The only post season games that have mattered are Conference Championships, playoff games with NC implications and the Championship game

Broadcast literally told us the protocol. If it it’s above the goal posts, the referee DIRECTLY under the goal post looks up & if he can’t see the ball have 100% clearance on the inside of the post, it’s no good. There was no camera DIRECTLY under that goal post.
