Brooks looks impressive but we just had a guy like that at LT that had all the potential in the world in Proctor and edge guys frequently just blew past him.

Proctor was a good player and he is going to be drafted in the first round.

We would take 5 guys just like him every year if we could. He was overweight and out of position but he gave up like 2 sacks this year.

After everything we've heard about wanting more agile linemen for DeBoer & Grubb's system it just seemed odd seeing a 6'8 345 lb guy being brought on board.

I wouldnt expect a poster named Chris Capps to know anything about playing Right Tackle

LT: Lloyd / Haywood
LG: Sanders / Strayhorn / Delgatty
C: Waldrep / Strayhorn / Delgatty
RG: Haywood / Lloyd / Poe
RT: Carroll / Brooks

That is a good group to build off of. Not a lot of experience though. Strength coach and OL coach need to earn their money with these guys.

Something like this going into camp?
LT: Lloyd / Haywood
LG: Sanders / Strayhorn / Delgatty
C: Waldrep / Strayhorn / Delgatty
RG: Haywood / Lloyd / Poe
RT: Carroll / Fretwell

Didnt Fretwell get hurt? I dont know if a TF is gonna crack the two deep. But if he does, he must be a beast.

I dont know anything about the other guys, Doughty and Cooley. Hopefully Carroll locks it down and we never know his backup.
I like it. He should be in the two deep at least.

So now we have at least 3 or guys that can play Center next year? Not sure who is the front runner to win the job at this point, but it's nice to have some competition.

Why the hell would you be down voted for that post? We have some posters that would down vote "Merry Christmas" being posted

Bc this board is heavily trolled by opposing teams' figs

My thoughts also
I think on the OL id rather get guys coming from the smaller schools that have played well as opposed to guys coming from big schools that havent played.

Haywood is a different story because he is still a young player. Players leaving big programs because of a coaching change is always a good opportunity to find some studs.

he can continue for another full year (maybe even improve a little) he looks to be a 1st rounder.

Needs to work on his physical development. But he has a nose for the football. Really high potential i think.

Outside of his rookie year, CJ has been consistently really awful.

Consistently below average for sure (except year 1).

Jeremiah Beaman will be back from injury. DL R-Fr. 6-4 314

Big Steve is still here. Im hoping he can become a contributor next year.

Indiana model.

Grown men on the DL definitely helps.

need a jamo type , but cheap and from a small school that no one has heard of. Haha, seriously, a speedster .

Didnt we offer a kid like that from some nowhere school in Texas? What is the word on him?

I think RW is gonna be in the Jamo role. Let him use his speed on the outside and sometimes on a reverse.

Find me a possession WR with great hands. I think Russell is the QB and his arm strength will keep safeties honest. Need somebody that can catch the ball over the middle.

What is the word on Haywood?

Hill isn’t trash. But he also shouldn’t be a feature back. He’s a rotational piece. Situational carries on short yardage. He can make a pile move a little but he’s not going to make anyone miss in space.

With some good offseason conditioning he could get better. A little more strength, a little more speed, and a little more conditioning and he is damn good. I like his vision and toughness.

I disagree he cant make anyone miss. He is shifty for a big back, but not wiggly. He had some cutbacks that led to good gains.
Thread needs some NSFW pics of college girls tight ends
