I have a feeling that by the time Kiffin would have an opportunity to bounce to a school like Alabama, they won't even be remotely as good of a job as LSU at that point.
Alabama was product of Saban. They never were just a straight up better job than LSU. Saban would have done the same thing if he stayed at LSU that he did at Bama. Might have even won more because he already had it rolling. LSU has always been one of the best jobs in country, but they’ve continually stepped on their own dicks and not had the right pieces in place for long periods of time. Install someone who can build and sustain and LSU can be a dynasty level football program. There’s always been that potential but something always got in the way of it happening.

Just what we need. Someone to roll an ankle playing pickleball.
Some of y'all really need to lighten the frick up.....

2024 OL was elite.
They had elite players, but weren’t an elite offensive line. There’s a big difference there and it all comes down to poor scheme and coaching.

Tried to bring 45 ended up with 8.
Hope you enjoyed the brief stint of success for your historically dog shite football program… welcome back to the cellar of the SEC.

Only if Lucus brings the Stewart kid with him do I want him. I don't know anything about him? Can he coach the interior DL?
Do you know how dumb that sounds? You don’t want him but don’t know anything about him?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to leave. Frank bleeds purple and gold
Does he now? If that's the case, then why was he throwing a fricking hissy fit about not being able to coach on the field? He's a shite RB coach..... if he can't accept that, then there was no place for him on staff. Lane isn't fricking around....he's not keeping a shite coach just because he pulls a kid from New Orleans every once in a while. I'd rather see them miss on a New Orleans recruit that maybe Frank would have pulled than the RBs never develop properly....so frick that, bye Frank.

the only notable name we lost was DJ Fagway and he was terrible
Is he terrible? Or was he just poorly coached? Seems like a talented kid, so maybe he goes somewhere else and lights it up. It would be the most Florida thing ever for that happen and would be enjoyable to watch .

Hear me out. Have Tyrann as an analyst. Have him learn under Corey. Corey retires eventually. Tyrann continues DBU as one of its first graduates.
It's not a bad idea. It won't hurt to have him on campus when recruits come, either. Who doesn't want to be recruited by the damn Honey Badger? The guy is an LSU legend and could obviously help with the New Orleans recruiting scene. Even if he isn't allowed to recruit on the road, that doesn't mean he can't talk to everyone else.
re: L'Damian Washington, Frank Wilson, and Austin Thomas should be announced for Ole Miss soon
Posted by koLSU86 on 12/14/25 at 1:20 pm to Quicksilver
Do they feel like they’re gaining something by putting Frank on their staff? It supposed to be a gotcha moment for them? Jokes on them when they see how poor of a position coach he is…. Hate to be the bearer of bad news as well, he’s not some lockdown for the city of New Orleans. He’s missed on New Orleans kids coaching at LSU…. Do they really think he’s going to come pull them all the Ole Miss? Good luck with that.

I've read nothing but bad things about Wolford. Basically that he's a great recruiter but terrible at developing talent (sounds familiar?). I'll hold out on judgment either way until we see the product on the field.
It helps when you actually have a head coach that can and will make corrections. I think people will be surprised how much better the O-line will be just based on scheme and play calling that actually makes sense.
Indiana seems like a very good football team. I can't help but think about TCU when they got blown out 62-7 by Georgia in the national championship, though. It's probably just because it's Indiana, and it feels wrong for them to be good, but... We'll see.

Well, if only Nuss had only 1/2 his work ethic.
Can we move on from even mentioning Nuss on this board? We can never talk about it, and it didn't happen.

Why was he staring into the camera like that?
It'll be interesting to see if they can sustain this more than anything. Is it a flash in the pan, just based on having the perfect combination of players? Or is it something he can keep going at Indiana? We shall see. They're a solid arse team across the board though, that's for damn sure.

Besides, it’s just as easy to win here as Bama
This. Bama is in a slow slide since Saban left. That was 90% Saban, 10% location....he would have won as many if not more NCs here if he had stayed, and he knows that and has basically said as much. LSU has always been a sleeping giant...they just couldn't stop stepping on their own dicks. Verge seems to be the one that will do what it takes and hire the coach that LSU needs and get out of the way. That's what has been needed for a long time. We've been the victim of coaching hires for a while, yet, even though those coaches weren't great, they still managed to win a national championship. The right coach could win 4 or 5 in 10 years.... Kiffin seems to have the energy and desire to do something like that. Hope that's the case.

Yes, he betrayed you by bringing you the greatest football season you’ll ever experience in your life, but yeah, let’s just say the hell with him. I guess no one believes in second chances around here huh? Lane sure has gotten plenty of those.
How ya been, Derek????
