That’s something some don’t seem to understand in here. Canada isn’t moving toward China in a vacuum. They’re moving toward China because we’ve treated them, and Europe as well, poorly over the last year.

We appear to be an unreliable ally from their POV. Why wouldn’t they try to find a steadier and less overtly hostile ally?

I hate what’s happening, but we treat our allies negatively for the benefit of China.

Trump’s entire thing is that the US should be more unpredictable. It’s difficult for me to tell when he says stuff like this whether he actually wants us to sit in Venezuela for a decade, or whether he’s just trying to pressure Venezuela’s leadership to give him what he wants.

My guess is he’s attempting to pressure Venezuela, as his actions seem to demonstrate that he is resistant to putting boots on the ground and occupying countries for years. We’ll see what happens I guess.

I think recent events have pushed many previously reliable Democrat voters I know to the right, either to the point of no longer voting or switching their vote to R completely. I think it’ll be a blowout in midterms next year, especially compared to other recent elections.

This situation makes me sick. I can’t sleep. I’m praying for Charlie’s soul, his family and friends, and our country. God, please give us the strength to be strong family members and friends in these difficult times.

All I’ve seen are four screenshots of her signature, no way to tell what document she was signing or anything. It was just signatures from what I can tell.

If those were on her mortgage application, and she did what Trump is saying, then I think the decision taken is correct.

If there is true evidence of mortgage fraud, then I think the decision is correct. Right now, as far as I know, there’s no way for any of us to know whether that evidence exists, other than relying on the executive branch to be telling the truth.

I’m very happy to be proven wrong. But, if the President can allege that any Governor on the Federal Reserve performed crimes, without providing evidence, and then remove the Governor because of the allegations… Can the Fed really be independent?

There’s nothing to stop future presidents from removing members of the Federal Reserve in that case.

Hopefully, there is hard evidence that this decision is being made off of.
