That’s not near good enough reasons to sacrifice more US blood and treasure.
I'd rather bomb Iran from the sky than have a ground/sea/air war with China.
I'd rather arrest Maduro in 3 hours than have a ground/sea/air war with China.
If you missed my point about China, then I can understand your response.
You appear to be failing to see the future trajectory of Taiwan and China.
You either don't care that we have committed to protect Taiwan. Or don't care that the protection (which does serve national interest) would lead us to a ground war with American souls.

Weaken China's allies and you weaken china.
Venezuela, Iran, Russia, Cuba, South America, Greenland.
We are placing the dominoes in place to prevent a Chinese invasion of Taiwan.
The best war with China is a cold war. Prevent their 2027/2028 invasion and the US foreign policy is a success.

Also worth noting that the 2nd degree murder statute he was convicted under was written specifically for cases of criminal negligence involving children. It’s not 2nd degree murder in the sense that most people would assume.
Thanks for sharing

There has to be some laws on gross negligence that apply here.

That is what is so tough to comprehend.

Child endangerment.
But I haven't seen a negligence charge.
I haven't read the legal statutes of the charges against him. I hope the jury followed the letter of the law. But it appears like the jury is following their feelings. "Something has to be done".
Now... 50 years later, she is concerned about our military members in harms way.

But what do you see as a clear benefit to the United States?
The biggest potential benefit will be 2027 or 2028.
Will China invade Taiwan?
Everything before then is just setting up the gameboard pieces. Venezuela. Cuba. Iran. Russia. Greenland. India.
If we enter 2029 without a hot war with China, then Trump single-handedly prevented WWIII.
State farm is probably OK with your current setup.
But I would get confirmation in an email.
If the insurance company wanted to be an arse in the future about this, they could. "Material misrepresentation" to insure the wrong vehicle on your policy. It could lead to a policy cancelation and denial of claims.
Again, I think State Farm is OK with this. Their customer management system blends households in ways that make it difficult to unwind connected policies (even after your kids leave). But accidents are too expensive to not CYA.

re: Oh no.. Looks like Chicago Schools are now getting called out

1000 students is generally considered a "smaller" school for a city like Chicago. Im sure they are repurposing what would normally be a closed/abandoned/sold school.
They are hiding these students from general population.
And if you have a student in general population, you probably should be thankful.
It doesn't appear that they have the level of medical need that I expected (daily siezures). But there is probably a serious need to be wholly contained and away from other students.
We watched Steve with Cilian Murphy last year. I presume this scenario is much closer to that movie than we can imagine.

I dont know the specifics of this school.
But there are schools designated for special needs (no mobility, high emotional dysfunction).
Georgia has schools which take students from multiple counties in order to provide adequate resources for the children in addition to keeping the level of distraction that they may bear in a normal school.
Those students will not be proficient. They will probably not get a diploma. Yet the schools are made available for very important services to the community to the age of 21.

Maybe we're waiting until Ramadan ends, which is supposed to be March 19th? Who knows?
Or lunar phase. I think the 19th is also when it will be a new moon.
I enjoy Ryan McBeth videos (im not sure if that is where your lunar phase reference is from or not).
He also posited "cultural advantage" with a strike before the end of Ramadan. Hungry/dehydrated can be deemed just as good a reason to strike as a new moon phase.
His bingo card is for "tonight" or just before Ramadan finishes.

As an aside, I've still seen absolutely ZERO evidence that Iran is working towards getting nuclear weapons, though these talking heads and Establishment Uniparty politicians have been telling me since the end of OIF/OEF that "iRaN iS jUsT wEeKs AwAy fRoM GeTTiNg a NuKe-YuLuRR wEaPoN".
Personal opinion here.
This is ultimately about weakening China's international allies.
All of them.
We are trying to prevent an invasion in 2027 or 2028.
Russia. Venezuela. Cuba. Iran. Greenland. South America. We are just placing the dominoes in line where we want them to have the most leverage when it comes to Taiwan.

No amount of missile strikes or bombing campaigns will stop their terrorist activities or their nuclear program.
It is a war of attrition.
We can bankrupt them with continued bombing campaigns if they keep trying for nukes.
We don't need boots on the ground.
We continue to bomb until they go broke or give up.
"Iranian freedom" is up to the Iranians. If they can overthrow a weakened dictatorship, then that is what they will try to do.
I don't understand the point of the tweet.
Wtf is with all of the cryptic tweets and comments, "the files are bad. It is awful".
But no one just says plainly, "Bob raped a girl. It is in the unreleased files". How hard is that?

To guarantee elimination of Iran’s nuclear program will require boots on the ground. How many American lives should we invest in a ground war with Iran? It’s likely to cost far more than Iraq or Afghanistan
That's a very specific use of the word "guarantee".
We can continue to bomb them to eradicate their nuclear and ballistic programs.
Over. And over. And over.
There isn't a need for boots on the ground.
Ideally, quick action would be against nuclear and missile targets.
Slow action would be taking Iranian operational command piece by piece as opportunity presents (i.e. Maduro).
There is no need for any land assault, land invasion, or land occupation.
If the Iranians want freedom, they can earn it. Fight a weakened dictatorship and find a way to win it.

If we dont strike at this point its a bad look, no one will take threats seriously in the future if they are empty. I.e. Obama's "red line" in Syria
It is only a bad look if Iran does not capitulate.
I keep seeing "this is a bad look" as if not sending an aerial assault is a bad thing. It is only a bad thing if Iran continues to act like they did in 2025. But this is 2026 and they have the largest war machine assembled since 2002 outside their front door.

Could be illegals.
It could be that all of the safety features on cars are actually starting to help.
It could be tort reform, which takes a few years to cycle through the court system.

Im not smart.
But that doesn't mean other people are always right
My wife has experience in the nonprofit markets.
Their budgets are 100% Cost of Employee.
If the employee doesn't need health insurance, then they can use all of the grant money towards salary.
If the employee needs health insurance, they can expect a $15k paycut in their salary.
I personally was offered a job about 7 years ago. I gave the prospective employer my total cost of employment. They wouldn't match, although the salary offer was attractive.
You aren't wrong. There is no obligation to pay the employee the comparable full cost of employment if "costs" happen to erode.
But you are wrong. A lot of times, the employer is bound by hard limits. More perks means less salary.
A lot of times, an employee isn't dumb enough to leave one salary for a higher one if it means they lose employee benefits in other areas.
Do you have any employees? Or have you ever had one?

I personally don't put overhead in the cost per employee.
They are 2 separate categories.
You do you.
Do you rent space from Regus? Add a suite for every employee you add? Maybe I could see the logic.
Most businesses don't rent office space 200 ft at a time. But you do you.
