Questions about Mardi Gras from a first timer.

First, congrats on the game last night and the season. Truly the most impressive season I've seen in my lifetime. Especially considering what your offense did and the defenses it did it to.
So, my wife booked a trip to NOLA for my 50th birthday next month. She knows how much I love it there, and she's never been. We're going be there four nights, the weekend before Fat Tuesday.
A few questions. I know the area pretty well, and I'm a Frenchman>Bourbon type, but as far as dinners, will we need reservations at most places this time of year, or will be able to find a place to walk in and get a seat at night after parades?
Can you recommend some restaurants around the quarter for New Orleans cuisine?
Is it hard to get an Uber or cab during the Mardi gras season if we want to get out of the quarter?
I think that's all I have for now. Thanks in advance.

re: So is UF gonna stack the box and play our recievers man to man??

For the most part. Your receivers, particularly Landry are very savvy operating versus zone.
re: Gary Danielson's comment about his salary

Yeaqh, I like Danielson.
VL is losing it. When they shows the UF starters on D, he said "Jaylen Watkins is the guy filling in for Tyrann Matieu"... WHAT?

And just how does this lame post merit a separate thread other than the pinned "Predictions for LSU-Florida" ?
To annoy you.

Two years in a row is plenty. I'll be shocked if this happens again.
you had a big one in 2007, too.
Here's my big prediction for the game.

At some point tomorrow, LSU will fake a punt or FG and they will be successful. Everyone in the stadium and watching on tv will know it is coming, and UF will look totally unprepared for it.
ok, now that that is out of the way, I just wanted to say safe travels to all of you headed to the game. My experience with LSU fans has always been the best. I remember in 98 in Gainesville, I'd never seen so many rowdy, cocky, people, but it was cocky in a good way, because once they stopped yelling "Tiger Bait", they were the nicest people ever.
I don't know who is going to win. I can't believe that you are the team we've seen the last few weeks. I don't know if a switch needs to be hit, or what.
I expect UF to sell out to the run and make the young QB beat us. UF coaches have a lot of confidence in their DB's, so they're not afraid to stack the box. I still don't trust the UF OL. We are substantially better than last year, but not top 10 type team, IMO.
Have fun tomorrow. Anything you're curious about, ask me...I know this UF roster upside down.
Almost forgot...I LOVE Chinese Bandits. I don't know why...I just think it's a cool tradition and it sounds cool.
