THIS GOD DAMN frickING PIECE OF shite NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM ALL POSITIONS OF LEADERSHIP BY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. NO DEMOCRAT WOULD EVER TREAT AN AGENCY HEAD APPOINTED BY A DEMOCRAT PRESIDENT IN THIS FASHION. ( YES I AM PISSED AND SHOUTING)

I’m really thinking these players need a break as well. They are playing like they are exhausted and look like they are ready for the game to end before it even begins.

The players only exert themselves at most 10 to 15 times a game, even less given the position play. Its not like football or basketball where they are in continuos motion. They are probably more active in practice running drills than the actual games. They are 20 year old kids in prime condition. Quit over analyzing.

Kate aaverages 9 PPG and 7 rebounds in 16 minutes per game. Every coach in the country would take that from their center who is not the focal point of their offense.

True, but he was All SEC the next season.

I would submit that 4 years to build a roster now is the equivalent to 8 then.

Everyone plays by the same rules that exsit at the times they are coaching, but if a team loses two of its top players two years in a row its devestating especially if it is in the midst of a rebuild. You cannot trade for new players in the middle of the season. Brown wentthrough the typical stops and starts for a few seasons until he signed Macklin, Cook, Hultberg. Floyd " the Dubberly Dude" Bailey, the Doctor, Walter Johnson, Mattick, Sims, Scales , Al and Lionel Green over a two year period after being there for four years. He was not recruiting with the shadow of NCAA investigation and sanctions, nor di dhe lose a key player to injury until Macklin's junior season. That is far different than McMahon had to deal with. If your McMahon Derangement Syndrome won't let you acknowledge this then so be it.

And in what place has Golden finished in the SEC the last 4 years and what place has Mcloser finished?

That was not the premise of my response. The comment was made that Woodward was stupid for hiring McMahon over Golden and I poiinted out accurately that McMahon's resume was far better at the time. Yes, Golden has done better , but he didn't inherit an empty roster with a program facing NCAA sanctions, nor has he lost his best two players to injury the last two seasons.
quote:

As far as Dale taking 7 years to build program it actually took 6 as the previous year he went 18-9 and narrowly missed a 32 team NCAA tournament

Again, you attempt to twist my comment to fit your narrative as I was pointing out that Macklin's injury was in year 7 which gave Brown much more time to build a stronger roster to withstand injuries and compete in a weaker SEC top to bottom. McMahon has lost his best two players the past two seasons in only years three and four. Brown was a great coach and I have defended him vociferously on this board.

You can continue to be the sanctimonious a-hole all you want and try to twist comments out of context but the facts of their respective circumstances were different.

Golden at San Francisco dealt with Gonzaga every year.

Even if we conced this point he still finished 5th, 8th and 4th in the conference. Why didn't he finish second and make the NCAA tournament every year?
Top seed should be paired with #8 overall as their second seed and #2 overall gets # 7 overall as their second seed.

Yes they were, you changed a comment about injured players into some silly nonsense about imaginary sanctions then did it again falsely equating eras.

I didn't equate ersa I responded to the comment about Brown's team winning a championship despite losing Macklin. I contrasted the two situations where one nterd facing sanctions and al the fact Brown had seven years to build his roster as opposed to four for McMahon. Those are facts not speculation. The impact from losing the top two players to injuries and personal issues two years in a row are very valid.

Despite the "condition of the Pmac", bad nachos etc. And attendance has been great from even before the Natty.

That is why I am opposed to the plans to build the new arena as there were indications they want to build a more intimate type setting like Auburn but reduce seating to around 10,000. That is foolish with the way gymnastics and women's basketball pack in huge crowds and so will men's basketball which will eventualy have all things aligned. If the new arena capacity can be 14,000 to 15,000 that would be great.

It’s dishonest to keep moving goalpost, using double standards and inverting reality.

No goal posts were moved and there is no double standard, I made straight forward comments about factors that negatively impacted the program and contrasted them to others who did not experience those factors and hurdles. You can contest the impact and you can present your opinion of other reasons that should be factored but you don't.. Instead you make gaslight comments and hope no one is watrching as you and your buddies nudge each other and snicker.

What is dishonest. There is not a single thing I posted that is not true. You may disagree with the impact of those scenarios but you cannot deny the veracity of my comments. Thus, you resort to ad hominem attacks.

You’ve even stooped to denigrating Brown and equating, even lowering some of the greatest seasons in program history beneath this era, the worst in program history.

I didn't denigrate Dale and would never do so. He did an incredible job in making LSU a national power whci went head to head with Kentucky for 15 years. I have vociferously defended him from tjhose who always give that time worn trite assertion that he could recruit, but was a poor coach. I was comparing the situations which our current coach has dealt with and the fact Brown was given seven years and did in fact establish the program as a powerhouse.
