I just watched it. Yes, he made some poor choices. Crescent City Steakhouse did not look good.

Obviously I do tend to ignore it on occasion, but am always able to revive it. For someone that makes a loaf or two every other week, what would you recommend as a good procedure for keeping the starter very active and thriving, short of the daily feeding and dump it may require?

There are lots of videos on YouTube, but it comes down to this:

-Refrigerate it
-Change ratio from 1/1/1 to maybe 1/5/5 or even 1/10/10
-Perhaps vary the flour to water ratio (less water, stiffer starter)

Years ago there was a study that showed kids who drank whole milk growing up were thinner as adults than kids who drank skim or 2%.

I was able to get out there today. It’s unbelievable how dry it was. There were a few wet spots that caught me off guard (chunk!), but overall it was very dry. Thanks for the recommendations, guys.

Back when I belonged there 15 years ago or more, it could rain 3” in the morning and by the afternoon you would never know it rained. Drained incredibly well.
People are idiots when it comes to roundabouts, but in general, in low to moderate traffic areas they are superior to other intersection designs when drivers use them properly. For smaller roads you can eliminate 4-way stop signs and make traffic flow better and save fuel by minimizing stops.

In Baton Rouge the circle at Government/Lobdell was a huge upgrade over the stoplights.
This happened to us when I was a kid. We were backpacking in Colorado and a forest ranger asked if we were driving a Ford Galaxy 500. Dad said yes and he told us that all our wheels had been stolen off the car down in the parking area and that it was sitting on cinder blocks. He had to hitchhike into town and get new wheels and tires.

My first problem is germination. I will start again with fresh seeds and soak them this time. Probably have a more dedicated area as well.

I did have issues with germination. I did soak them and still had some issues.
Darnell5445 - please tell me why the officers wear masks? Is it because these protesters will Doxx them and put them and their families in danger if they can identify them? The answer to that is undeniably yes.

So, the issue of masked officers that your ilk and the left like to complain about is a direct response to the dangerous actions of the left.

I thought I would miss the second oven but I don’t,

Historically, we do use our double wall oven more than once or twice a year, but we have added a Breville smart oven air fryer pro and it is a great oven and can fit a 9x13” pan. May not need but one big oven and the Breville. If it fits in the Breville, we tend to use that over the wall oven.

Been there a few times in the last few years when they would have my brother-in-law’s band play from 7-9. The beer taps never worked. Very poorly run. They lost lots of money in potential sales because they refused to have beer taps that worked.

I made two whole beets! What a meal this will be

I got 5 small, single bite beets. Better than last spring. Not doing well with beets so far. Need to check my pH perhaps. Tasted good roasted though.

She only needed to go once to see the farce that it is. The Catholic mass is the most boring hour of your week. At least non demoninal has some rhythm, stories and a point. I'd never subject my kids to Catholic mass.

There are good and bad priests. Some give very good, meaningful homilies. Far from boring. Some are boring. Find a priest who does a good job. There are several in the Baton Rouge area that give very good homilies.

Stand, kneel, sit. Rinse and repeat. I went for 24 years. She's probably pissed to go through that BS and I don't blame her.

You went for 24 years and have no understanding of why you stand and kneel? Pretty sad if you ask me.
Should have used ZZZ Accounting. He would have found the fraud with a quickness.

Can someone define "classical" education for me, because when I hear it I think of liberal arts universities they churn our they/thems that have no skills worthy of employment.

Well, a truly classical education would require reading classical literature (from Greek, English, American, and more), studying math, science, and music.

Most modern schools/universities do not do this. If they did, the students would be prepared for the work world.

Because 7 points is more than 3.

Well, 3 points is more than 0.

I’ve seen enough teams go for it on 4th and goal and not make to think that taking the 3 is the better option early in the game. It seems that wasted opportunity for 3 usually plays an important role late in the game.
I very much enjoy their channel. I need to start cooking more of their recipes. Only done a few so far.
At least we have not reached the level of what they do in Chile. I saw these all over driving through the desert.

Why, then, does the NFL keep awarding its biggest game to N.O., tied for the most hosting in the history of the game?

I’ve been to a number of Final Fours. New Orleans is the best place to host one. Everything you need is within walking distance. It is just a very convenient/fun town for the fans.
