re: LSU MBA Program

3 or 4 years ago someone in the admissions department told me "You don't want an MBA from LSU." So I've passed that message on to anyone who asks.
You misinterpreted Tiger Rant

re: Best dress shirt brands

I bought them at the store on Michigan Ave. It was on the left sleeve on all 4 shirts. It must be something I do, but I've had some JosABank shirts for 2+ years with no problems. I prefer the look and fit of BB, but they are expensive for 6 months of wear. I'll admit I've still worn them under sweaters through the winter.

I bought 4 1818 or whatever brooks brothers dress shirts last July and within 6 months all 4 split at the elbow. Anyone else had this problem?

In Atlanta, they need a lot more "cheap seats" to attract the SEC football fan who lives in Atlanta but doesn't care enough to pay a premium that would have to be charged at Phillips. Nashville is closer to Lexington. Greater demand from fans who are more passionate about college basketball coupled with less supply means drastically increased price. It probably doesn't hurt that Nashville cut the SEC a better deal than the GA Dome offered.
They only seat about 40k in the GA Dome and even then it is only on Sat and Sun when they open the upper levels. There can't be more than a few thousand extra seats in the Dome over Phillips for the midweek games.

I love Alumni Association trips. Always a great bargain.
LSU defends the goal more aggressively than anyone in the SEC. Home record: 7-1. Road record: 1-6.

Arkansas defends the perimeter more aggressively than anyone in the SEC. Home record: 5-2. Road record: 2-5.

2 of the 3 road wins were South Carolina.
I think LSU would have lost by -1 runs.
Through 5 innings in last year's regional, LSU had 1 run. They wound up with 5. ULL scored 1 run in the 6th and nothing else the rest of that game.
So I'm thinking it would have finished LSU 5 ULL 4.
I agree since LSU has a history of getting blasted at home and never winning games in the 7th-9th innings.
Mainieri had to have offered the run.
Mainieri hates Kramer
If LSU baseball averaged 1 home game a week and the weather conditions were perfect (like basketball), I'm pretty sure they could average 30k per game.

No, but I see LSU plays South Carolina, Florida and Kentucky out of the East (1/2/3 last season). They also have to play 4 of the 6 West schools on the road.

Under the current scheduling format, Alabama can't avoid the West. That said, LSU and Arkansas finished 1/2 in the West last season and the scheduling Gods gave Bama both of those series at home.

SEC Baseball Scheduling

Posted by bas456 on 3/28/13 at 9:44 pm
Last year, the SEC East finished - 1. South Carolina, 2. Florida, 3. Kentucky. This year, Alabama baseball doesn't play South Carolina, Florida or Kentucky.

Last year, the bottom 4 teams in the conference were 9. Georgia, 10. Auburn, 11. Alabama and 12 Tennessee. This year, Alabama baseball started conference play against Tennessee, Georgia and Auburn.

The odds of a computer spitting that schedule out has to be extremely small.

good answer IMO

How is that a good answer? When Ole Miss swept a bad TCU team (8-11 with an RPI of 120), Ole Miss jumped from 13 to 8, ahead of LSU who went 3-0 that week. LSU is still stuck behind Ole Miss because now the rule is a winning team doesn't get jumped.

re: Jared Foster Playing Time

They aren't going to sit Rhymes or Laird. That leaves the guy with 14 strikeouts to 15 hits and the only error in the outfield.

That is an easy question.

Didn't Foster get yanked for Arby Fields after Foster misplayed a fly ball that almost cost us in game 3 at South Carolina last year? Mainieri will never forget that.
You act like State returns a bunch of proven winners. They lost series to all of the top teams, finished 7th in a 12 team conference, and got put out of a regional with 2 losses in 3 games to Samford.

LSU vastly overachieved from a metric standpoint last year. The won't be statistically capable of staying that far ahead of extrapolated production.

Are you saying LSU won more games than the stats say they should have? In SEC games, LSU finished 4th in hitting, 3rd in pitching and 3rd in defense.

Mississippi State returns virtually their entire team that won 40 games last year.

40 teams won 40 or more games last year.

In a post about the SEC favoring UGA over A&M, you are the 3rd Alabama fan to frame this as an LSU/Alabama issue.

The most troubling part is that the SEC would actually lobby for some SEC schools over other SEC schools.

I think Arkansas is loaded. LSU will battle with Ole Miss and State for 2nd in the West.

The plan is to fly to Boise tomorrow. Then Johnny is taking the boys ice fishing in Alaska for a couple of days. They'll head down to L.A. on the 17th, play Irvine on the 18th, then head down to Cabo for a couple days of relaxation before going to Milwaukee.
