Didn’t Kentucky hire Sloan? If so, doesn’t matter how good he is because of playcalling.
Yeah but your baseball stadium is embarrassing.

Nice Turf lol
Can we just start by eliminating early signing day (just have 1 national signing day in Feb like old times) and push the transfer portal window to some date shortly after that. This is very easy to do and does not require an act of congress.

If Saban was still coaching they would still be in the CFP and stomping ND.

2019 LSU vs. 2001 Miami is the only one I’m not confident about.

That Miami defense was insane.

The rest our jokes.
Why do people forget he brought a shitty Cinci team to the superbowl and AFC championship while beating prime Mahomes and Allen.

This is such a retarded take. Good lord
You mean the shitty teams he brought to the AFC championship and Super Bowl and beating Mahomes / Allen in his first 2 seasons as a starter?

Mendoza is great but these comparisons are stupid

Good post but I think the freaking out is due to not having a single QB on our roster at the moment and a decimated OL group…
To your first point, a pass from the 35 yard line isn’t a Hail Mary. He threw the ball before the players were in the end zone.

Now it is a tough call to make in that situation…

Edit - See others beat me to this
There is not a single accomplishment from Cignetti to-date to support this statement.

However, I think he might be the closest thing to the next Saban except he is pretty old compared to the age Saban was when he took off….
Good post & upvote because I feel the same way to a certain extent.

I think the creation of the transfer portal is overwhelmingly the biggest driver of the issues - not NIL. Paying recruits has been happening for decades so I don’t mind that either (new structure actually levels the playing field moving it above board vs. watching Dodge Chargers all over).

I support the players making money and it’s deserved, but combining the money with the transfer portal is creating a massive shitstorm bubble that is not going to benefit college football or college sports in general. It’s now an unregulated 1 year contract/free agency market every single year, for every single player.

Absolute chaos that self interested “agents” are going to prey on

The QB battle between Stockton and Chambliss was awesome.

Two QBs, and leaders of their respective teams, making tough backyard football plays & leaving it all out on the field is just fun football to watch.

The headlines will say this: Chambliss was unconscious - simply incredible throws. He is impossible to sack (I was in Oxford for the LSU game and we couldn’t touch him once).

Lacy also played great (excluding the fumble). That 3rd down where he took that pass & big hit for the key first down was beyond huge. Lacy popped up and the UGA defender looked like he hit a brick wall.

However, the ole Miss defense looked great in the 2nd half and allowed the offense to shine and come back by stopping the run. Remember UGA never punted the 1st time and they stepped up

re: Kirby blew this game

Wait - so Kirby should have settled for the FG to tie the game vs go for the win?

His clock management before that play was bad but 10/10 coaches would have thrown the ball on the 3rd down play.

I personally would’ve just run a bubble screen to Branch and tell him to stay inbounds
They need to just get rid of targeting. Refs repeatedly cannot call it consistently which makes it worthless.

Go to the NFL rules where it has to be violent and a blatant hit to get called a personal foul.

Edit: Funny thing is Stockton hit in the NFL would be personal foul and the other no flag
This dude is an NFL Kicker - 55 & 56 yarder looked like PATs
Pretty much the exact same way OU beat Bama in Tuscaloosa…pretty wild
Good point - I’d actually like to see this comparison…
I still have faith in Durham. His runs freshman year weren’t a fluke and he broke a ton of tackles.

I hope the bad year was due to the terrible offensive scheme and bad play-calling. We knew the offensive line was going to be a weakness and our offensive scheme + Nuss inability to push the ball down the field exacerbated it.
His dad is a legitimate psycho….

I also think this Dad isn’t very happy with Lane with Austin stuck on the bench. I could be wrong but Austin passed on UCL surgery for baseball last year to ensure he could play QB.

Hindsight he should’ve gotten the surgery if he was going to be on the bench.
