Bought a new build in October 2020 and paid exactly what we were willing to spend and pretty checked most boxes. Financed at 2.49% after selling our old house ourselves and our buyer didn’t use a realtor either so we saved a chunk in that regard as well. We were fortunate and Everything just kinda worked out very well. Could like sell our house now for $120-150 more than what we paid but it wouldn’t do us any good as all the comps are that price now and the rates are more than double. We’re happy where we are though and the house won’t be too big once the kids are gone, which will be a while. I feel for some of these homeowners getting squeezed. Can be a very stressful situation.

Cowan has lost anything he had. Hitters see him and just sit changeup. After a couple batters, he has to be impossibly surgical for it to work and he can’t.
This team is cheeks at the moment but I’d much prefer to suck in February and early March than in May. I’ve seen it too many times in LSU baseball where we turn it on early to mid April so I’m not overly concerned at all. The hitting this past week has been so strange with their approach.
Grew up in BR. Lived in laffy for 15 years. Lafayette is light years better in almost every aspect. Family still lives in BR. The city has nothing to offer outside of LSU except for proximity to fishing and hunting and being close to Nola.

Yeah, they are. But, after last week I have my worries. I know it’s only February but others have been taking care of business and we haven’t. But, long season and we shall see how it rolls.

It’s still very early. LSU losing to Dartmouth 2-1 in the 6th at the moment with only 3-4 hits. Baseball is weird. Tenn still has good players. We’ll see if it gets turned around.

I have been to a "resort" once in Puerto Vallarta. It was basically an average hotel that happened to be on the ocean. We were told "don't leave the resort". I stepped off the resort once and that was to go play golf. Seemed innocent enough until someone at the golf course stole my credit card info and ran up a $2000 bill.

I went to Puerto Vallarta in 2019. We went into town every night. Resort was great, town was great. Never once felt uneasy. And nobody there told us to “don’t leave the resort”. It’s been considered one of the safest tourist cities in Mexico for a while.

. Groceries down.

Down compared to what? Our typical grocery bill going back to around 2022 was about $330. The same cart now costs us just north of $500. Not sure prices will ever get more manageable.

re: Skiers who compete in moguls

If you aren’t a great skier there’s nothing fun about moguls I only ski blues and the occasional black but I still get my arse kicked on moguls

100% agree. I’m a pretty good skier, and used to tackle moguls here and there when I was in my 20s. Never was great at them but liked the challenge. Now, at 41 and 3 knee surgeries later, I find them very taxing and not really enjoyable at all. It’s a hard skill to master skiing a couple days a year. If I lived near a ski area, I like to think it would be a little different. Those damn bumps beat you to hell.
I used to like short track but it’s basically chaos and praying you don’t crash. I like the longer races. And most of those ladies are very easy on the eyes.
Campbell is getting soundly beat on almost every pass play. It’s pretty impressive, honestly.

Care to elaborate why you think it’s awful?

Because his music isn’t distinct or original and he’s a terrible vocalist. It sounds like every other mainstream Latin musician. Gaga was good.

Jesus, dude. Lighten up.

re: Hip replacement

Hip replacements have some of the highest if not the highest positive outcomes for orthopedic surgeries with very good patient satisfaction. It’s one of the best and most reliable orthopedic surgeries done.

Well done. Have an upvote.

I know a lot of LSU fans were mad they canned Wade, citing how weak the NCAA is. After what we know now, what in the world would the NCAA have done if LSU said screw you were keeping him?

I think they were threatening to dig into the football program and reveal some allegedly pretty bad allegations and were using Wade as leverage/sacrficial lamb

ol south la hate is real towards this guy, glad i'm from New Orleans lol wish the Saints had him

The saints rookie LT from Texas was very good this year.

All she has to do is deposit money in one of Trump's accounts in Qatar and the pardon will be hers.

She might be screwed then. I can’t imagine that lady has any significant amount of money whatsoever.

Hunter is giving Will Campbell hell

So is Will Anderson.
His coach got conservative on their drive in the 4th and settled for a FG when they could’ve gone up by 8. Bills offense was a hodgepodge all year if they didn’t run well. Combine that with 3 healthy receivers and it was gonna be tough. Allen’s stupid fumble at the end of the half turned out to be the difference. He missed some throws that could’ve sealed it too.

Allow everything all game Call those two at the end

That’s my issue. They didn’t call anything all game on plays that had much more suspicion of PI. both ways. Then they call 2 at the end. And never reviewed the cooks catch/interception? WTF?
quote:

Yeah there is a direct correlation to cost of roster and results on the field. Just look at LSU last year.

I think LSU was the only team in top 5 portal rankings last year to not make the playoffs so I’d say it’s somewhat related to results on the field.
