re: Matt Luke vs Pete Golding?

No trolling. I think it’s a legit argument

1 or 2 years before OM made Matt Luke the head coach he interviewed at Troy for their head coaching vacancy. It later leaked that their AD said 'He's not quite ready to be a head coach yet.' I'll remind you that Troy plays in the Sun Belt. We hired him and decided to pay him $3 million+ when he would've taken the job for $1.5 mil a year. Where the frick else was he gonna go coach and make that kind of money ?! That's what really pissed me off at the time.

Strong suspicion there was a Jaxson and possibly even a Dawcen on the team but parents made them transfer schools due to lack of playing time
Won't say where the school is located since they're kids but when I see Landon, two Cadens, a Brayden, Keagan with a wonky spelling, Asher, two Wyatts, Camden, two Braxtons and somehow even an Axton it must be shared among the masses. Some other classic baseball first and last names as well. Nolan, two Jacks, McGee, two Coles, Brett and even Andrew Jones. Yes I know he spelled it differently but come on.

The Gamecocks can pitch it pretty well but my Lord they are completely lost at the plate.
You got a lot of nerve bringing up the Bianco slide in midApril when I'm just starting to come around on this team.

If the SEC Rant Oxford meet up really happens in September I'd suggest wearing a kevlar vest under your tank top at this point

Gonna preorder several Cherry Limeade and Ocean Water slushes to help REBEL5AC keep the swelling down. Got a feeling he'll be targeted early and often.

This is the best team Tech has had in a really long time. They're going to be a tough out in June. Looks like Link Jarrett is going to bring a title to Tallahassee sooner than later. Little known fact. He still holds the record for NCAA fielding assists going back to when he was an All American SS for the Seminoles in the early 90s with 800+.

What if College Gameday came to The Grove and had both Lane and Pete as co-guest pickers ? I rarely even watch Gameday any more but me and every college football fan in America would tune in for that. It would make for amazing television. Obviously the game would have to kick at night for that work out. People forget but Lane was the first head coach to ever be the guest picker when Gameday came to Oxford for the aTm game several years ago. Several coaches have done it since then but he was the first.

Marcello is a former MSU beat guy which makes his Ole Miss prediction about as surprising as corn in my shite after a crawfish boil

Rebel fans will party late into the night on the square, but it won't last in October. The middle of the schedule includes landmines with road trips to Florida and Texas, before Auburn and Georgia come to town in back-to-back weeks. Then a trip to Oklahoma follows that. We're fading the Rebels after a hot start.
An early artist's rendition of what The Velvet Ditch will look like the night of Friday September 18th

Agreed.
16-14 and a respectable OOC record hosts this year. Especially if you beat MSU in Pearl and win an SEC Tourney game. 18-15 in the SEC and a top 15 RPI hosts.
I'll see your Huntsville and raise you a Buffalo City.

Only 1 way in and 1 way out unless you're going to float down the Buffalo/White River or hitch a ride on a freight train. Clinton’s White Water Real Estate Scandal was over the land just on the other side of that steep rock wall on the far side of the White River.

I was there recently. It's doing great.

I'm sure the coffee was fantastic and the seafood was fresh but the latest NMLS and CBRE data is spelling doom for the city of Seattle. You have a crumbling tax base and continued budget short falls are expected (sounds like a Liberal Democrat run city to me). The business rental market is setting records as well. Not the good kind.

quote:

The Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NMLS) released its March 2026 Market Snapshot on Thursday, showing active listings surged 29.3% year over year to 15,049 homes while closed sales barely budged, rising just 0.2% from a year ago. The median sales price fell 1.5% year over year to $640,000. More homes are sitting on the market, prices are softening, and the buyers who once kept Washington’s housing engine running are increasingly hard to find.

quote:

it’s not enough to reverse a pandemic-era slide that pushed office vacancy to another record high, reaching 34.7% in Q4. The latest numbers from commercial real estate firm CBRE underscore how hybrid work and shrinking office footprints continue to weigh on a tech-heavy market like Seattle. The vacancy rate is up about two percentage points from a year ago, and a fivefold increase from before the pandemic.
Downtown Seattle lost 257,879 square feet of occupied space in Q4
Won't matter. I'm gonna roofie your Peach Fresca and then trick you into drinking a Sweet Tea with Firefly in it.
My wife (gfy no pics) has a friend who is an accomplished Event Coordinator. At least she seems to think she is. Anyway, we're putting together an SEC Rant Rebel/Tiger meet up for Gameday Weekend this Fall.

Friday September 18th.
Burgers, Blasts and Broken Noses
The Sonic @ 1207 East University Avenue in Oxford - BYOK
Let's get ready to rumble Baws. After some Cheddar Peppers and initial brawls to get the blood pumping the event will move up the hill to The Velvet Ditch where there will be more knuckle checking and shite talking. REBEL5AC has assured me he will be there in a powder blue tank top.

Saturday AM
Rumble in the Circle
We aren't going to bring our hooliganism and Tomfoolery to The Grove. Not at first any way. That ground is too sacred for trash like us. We'll be arguing and fighting in The Circle. I'm gonna roofie NFLSU and William Taylor's drinks, then kick their arse, then make them lead our football team down the Walk of Champions in a beat up, drunken stupor. Jokes on those two assholes. We've never won a Football Natty in my lifetime or even been to Atlanta.

230pm
Game at the Vaught.
Finally. Most will not be physically fit enough to even make the walk to the stadium after all the fighting. We'll watch it on TVs at random tents in The Grove. More fisticuffs will ensue and both Sidewalk Tiger and Henry Jones Jr eventually come out of the closet in whiskey soaked, tear jerking confessions. Ole Miss wins a close one on the field. LSU remains #1 in their fans' hearts.

8pm
Postgame Medical Emergencies
DMagic and Tiger Lunatik have promised not to drink cause they're pussies like that sometimes and they'll shuttle Ole Miss fans to Baptist Hospital and LSU fans to Urgent Care to avoid additional scuffles. Expecting some toxicity issues from all the alcohol and the Rohypnol at this point. Probably some infighting within our own fanbases as well. Cause why not ?

Postgame Pardem Depression and Drive Home
Sunday the 20th
Only the strong have survived to this point and still have a functioning liver. We all shake hands, make fun of Brian Kelly and Ole Miss' 2003 SEC Western Division banner together and agree to do it again in Baton Rouge in 2027.

Up to #9 RPI this morning. We've already played 19 Quandrant 1 games this season. Most in college baseball and we should finish with the most on May 16th. Auburn's 13 Q2 games to our 1 is why they still boast the #1 SOS. Find a way to win one Friday or Saturday in Knoxville and and then get greedy.
