re: Do any of you in Louisiana get Astros games on DirecTV?
Posted by PrimeTime Money on 3/2/26 at 1:55 pm to ShaneTheLegLechler
Maybe he just tried to watch a game that wasn’t televised? I’m not sure. I checked the guide here a couple weeks ago and told him when the game would be on and he said he tried to watch but it was some other show that was on.
I’ll check in with him again at some point because I thought for sure he’d be able to watch them with DirecTV.
And I haven’t actually watched any spring training games this year. I just know I have in the past so I assumed they’ve been on.

Do any of you in Louisiana get Astros games on DirecTV?

I’m in Texas, so I get the games, but I have a relative who recently got DirecTV Stream which includes Space City Sports Network, but said the spring training games haven’t been on while I’ve been able to watch them here in Texas.
It’s hard to find if they’re blacked out or not. Louisiana is supposed to be in-market, and he has SCSN and still hasn’t been able to watch. What gives?

This isn’t a young team on the upswing. This is supposed to be a win now team. An extrapolation of 46 wins based on a 15 game sample size puts the team in the play-in spot.
That is the definition of mediocrity and is the absolute worst position for an NBA team to be in. A treadmill of mediocrity means you’re not good enough to do anything serious and you’re not bad enough to get franchise-changing draft picks to build on for the future.
The franchise would be in much better shape if they blew it up completely and started over from scratch.

quote:I hate this stupid arse logic. We are capable of doing multiple things at once. Just because there is a military operation going on doesn’t mean domestic issues aren’t being addressed.
I care more about how people are doing in Indiana than Iran or Israel. We are running $2 trillion budget deficits right now. Sorry things aren't going great over there guys. I hope it works out for you all.
Also, why let Iran get a nuclear weapon when we can stop it? Years later, when Iran has the ability to launch nukes and hit the homeland, we’d be livid that our government did nothing to prevent it when they had the means and opportunity.
Just because we have negative feelings about past wars doesn’t mean all conflict is unnecessary and we should stay out of everything forever.

In short, Texas has a more positive business climate, while Louisiana is often viewed as hostile to business and industry.
It’s a night and day difference.

I dated a British girl in high school and I was over at her house one day and before going to bed her dad said something like “I shall retire for the evening” and I thought that was classy.

The novelty fights are fun in a freak show type of way. This is just two old boxers and I have no interest in watching.
Literary stalwart James Joyce’s beautiful love letter to his wife, December 8, 1909
Posted by PrimeTime Money on 2/23/26 at 4:44 pm
Dublin 8 December 1909
My sweet little whorish Nora I did as you told me, you dirty little girl, and pulled myself off twice when I read your letter. I am delighted to see that you do like being fricked arseways. Yes, now I can remember that night when I fricked you for so long backwards. It was the dirtiest fricking I ever gave you, darling.
At every frick I gave you your shameless tongue came bursting out through your lips and if a gave you a bigger stronger frick than usual, fat dirty farts came spluttering out of your backside. You had an arse full of farts that night, darling, and I fricked them out of you, big fat fellows, long windy ones, quick little merry cracks and a lot of tiny little naughty farties ending in a long gush from your hole. It is wonderful to frick a farting woman when every frick drives one out of her. I think I would know Nora's fart anywhere. I think I could pick hers out in a roomful of farting women. It is a rather girlish noise not like the wet windy fart which I imagine fat wives have. It is sudden and dry and dirty like what a bold girl would let off in fun in a school dormitory at night. I hope Nora will let off no end of her farts in my face so that I may know their smell also.
Goodnight, my little farting Nora, my dirty little frickbird! There is one lovely word, darling, you have underlined to make me pull myself off better. Write me more about that and yourself, sweetly, dirtier, dirtier.
- Jim
Gorgeous writing. He really loved his wife.

So yes, dryer sheets absolutely do prevent static.
re: NBA plans to enact anti-tanking rules next season, sources say
Posted by PrimeTime Money on 2/20/26 at 5:33 am to RLDSC FAN
I don’t even care about tanking. Do people really think it matters if your team finishes 10th in the conference or 14th?
As a fan, I’d much rather my team finish at or near the bottom with the hope of getting a good draft pick than being stuck on a mediocrity treadmill near 10th with little hope for a good draft pick and little hope of moving up the standings.
You’ll always have bad teams who finish last. Who cares if a few teams prefer that outcome?

If y’all would embrace soccer and try to get into it rather than refusing to watch it because it’s “gay” then you wouldn’t have this problem.
During football season I can Premier League soccer in the morning, college football the rest of the day on Saturday then Premier League in the morning on Sunday and NFL the rest of the day.
Then when football season is over, soccer is still going on and there are games on most days of the week.
And I still watch the NBA at this time and MLB is going to get going soon.
I don’t have this post-football drag feeling because I have sports to enjoy at every time of the year.

Not everything is sexual and nefarious if your mind isn’t in the gutter. If someone truly had bad intentions they wouldn’t be doing it on national television.
Josh Hart stuck his thumb up Jalen Brunson’s arse and we all just laughed because we can use our brains and understand the context.

Perhaps a little odd lol, but he’s clearly just messing around.
I find that these days people are way overly sensitive with this kind of stuff and try to make normal human interactions something they’re not. It’s more of a projection of what’s going on in their own mind than reality.

The majority of people following this case do not consider it to be a celebrity kidnapping I'm a news junkie and I had never heard about Savannah Guthrie before her mom was abducted. I bet the majority here don't consider this a celebrity kidnapping
And if you’re truly a news junkie, there is no way you haven’t heard of Savannah Guthrie unless you are in a right-wing bubble for news content. She’s moderated presidential debates and was on the Today show on NBC every day for years.
Your personal experience here does not at all match others.
