If anyone can manage this situation it’s Kiffin. College football has changed. Coaches always need to win and win now. They will do what’s best to accomplish that. Otherwise they are fired.
The point is whether you call in nil or revenue sharing, players were getting paid. So were their family. To act like this is new is either being naive or disingenuous. It’s just legal and out in the open now.

Don’t look at it that way. You had a coach willing to go the extra mile to secure a top end talent. That’s why Kiffin was hired and so far he is delivering.

Agree with your take, but time moves on. This is the current state of college football. Good news is we have the coach and GM in place to navigate this new setting.

He’s gonna get paid more than 2 mill. At some point lane will have to pay someone. He has two functional feet . Im interested to see if Lane considers him worth the money vs Leavitt.
