re: Why Sooners are doomed in SEC.

OK is joining at the right time. We are not as formidable as a few years ago. Bama will have a new coach. ATM, Florida, Auburn, LSU, Kentucky, and Ole Miss will be looking for new coaches or just getting new coaches as some of those will be fired and others will take bigger jobs. Tennessee and UGA will be the teams to beat. Arkie gets exposed this coming year. Oklahoma will take advantage of all the change.
Having coached it for many years, fastpitch softball is the world's greatest sport. It really is. College football used to be. Not anymore.

As for OU, they have the best team in the country by far. Everyone in the SEC is down from where they normally are except Arkansas is up. For example, Florida starts 4 freshman. Bama has gaps they don't usually have. LSU is way down from normal. Auburn is not on the same map as they normally are.

Oklahoma has the best hitting coach and the best pitching coach in the game. They haven't played the best schedule, but it is a little like Alabama football when they were hitting all cylinders. The schedule was bad, but it didn't matter. They were clearly the best team. Same for OU softball. It is what it is.
That is right up there with Miami's coach saying the Canes have the best fans in the country.

Suni has a decent chance to win on some individual events right? I have doubts we win as a team, but it could happen.

Suni gets her first 10 mid season and all of a sudden Auburn fans think they are a gymnastics school. Suni has scored a couple since. But, she has stiff competition. Yes, she has a chance. And, some say the olympian is a favorite. But, Oklahoma, Michigan and Florida have athletes who have scored many perfect 10's. Florida has an athlete who has scored at least one perfect 10 in every event category.

Will the judges get carried away by her being an olympian? We've seen it before. Judging is subjective in a lot of respects. I think they wanted Auburn in because of Suni. And, anything can happen including surprises in this sport.

re: Gators! Dual championship question…

I lived in Gainesville during that time. It was a definitive golden era for any university that accomplished what it did in sports and academics as well as in its endowment campaign. In sports, it wasn't just football and basketball. It truly was the few yearS of the Gators pretty much all the way around. Everything was celebrated. It wasn't really a situation of stealing thunder. If you weren't a Gator fan, you still had to admire it. If you hate the Gators, it was brutal.
From my time living in Gainesville, I know that Florida had George Steinbrenner (was on their BOD as well) and now has his descendants who attended UF. Ben Hill Griffin was a citrus industry king.
Classic.

Kid discovers ice cream in high school. Thinks no one else knows about ice cream. What a wonderful discovery.

Tells all of his friends about his great discovery. All other kids say the short bus is over there. We've been eating ice cream since we were toddlers.

I guess when you have had nothing all of your life, you think something big has happened when you find a quarter.
If Florida were an ACC or Big10 school, they'd be ranked.

Read your history and know your facts. Alabama was the epicenter of the civil rights movement and forced integration made it far more integrated than all other states. Look it up. The most segregated states are in the Northeast and West. States that pride themselves on liberal politics, ironically. Don't be a part of the ignorance problem about Southern living.
Ever heard the term, "overrated"?

The SEC was way underrated until the 90's.
Clay or grass infield?
You forgot Women's Lacrosse:

8 Florida
21 Vanderbilt

Considering Fairhope, Gulf Shores, and Point Clear are vacation spots of choice for those who live in NOLA, this is really a stupid comment from an LSU fan.

Her looks? She might be top shelf in Boise but in the South, she is meh unless you are 14 and the fence post might look good to you.

UGA and Florida are solid but nationally not comparable to Texas, Cal, UCLA, UNC, Michigan, etc.

AUREO

You have no idea what you are talking about. UF is precisely the only school in the SEC that is comparable to Texas, Cal, UCLA, UNC, and Michigan. Those are exactly UF's peer institutions and they are exactly in the same tier rankings- the only SEC school in that tier.

Auburn? Not even close. And, they aren't even an AAU university. UF is.
She is just meh. Maybe at first glance you guys fill in what you want to see. Take a closer look. Not in the top 50% of girls on most campuses.

Gainesville is nothing great. Auburn too.

Gainesville is great, very great. And, you can't be the number one ranked party school by Playboy Magazine and Parade Magazine and come close to being on the most boring list. You just don't know anything about Gainesville, or you were looking for a swamp coon and couldn't find one.

More than anything else, you have The University of Alabama to thank for that SEC Supplemental Revenue, because (the real) UA football program has made and contributed so much money for the SEC the last 12 years,

What a crock of BS. If you want to start acting like Texas, go start your own tv network and fall flat on your face, like Texas. Alabama is not much without the entire conference. No one is. You think Alabama is solely responsible for Alabama's success? If you do, you are blind mouse. You think the tv contract would be lucrative for Alabama without the rest of the conference? If you do, you are just a moron.

This. There was a lot of talk around Tallahassee about her being a Q of Spades before the Taylor Jacobs thing was exposed.

Actually, you are right. He did not expect to still be at UF by this past year, so why bother building a program?
Is Missouri good at anything other than beating Florida in football?
They said Missouri would improve the basketball profile of the SEC.... They said Missouri is a great basketball addition to the conference. They said....
It is no surprise that you would almost get into a fight. Here are the reasons:

1. You are cruisin for a brusin just because of your arse&&&& behavior. Mother Theresa would fight you.

2. You would almost get into a fight because you would run away before you actually got into one.

Ummm. UCF sold it out. Not Florida fans.

I think the waterboy is playing for Florida. Not a good year for them to be playing UCF.
Blue and True:

A lot of people think Michigan will expose UGA for the media propped fraud they are. Their biggest win is a win over Clemson and they didn't even score an offensive TD in that game. And, we all know now that Clemson is horrible.
I think UF doesn't show up and loses. The stadium will be full of UCF fans as well. The new UF coaches are not involved in this game at all and none of the Mullen coaches are being retained and players are leaving left and right. This game should not even be played.
Y'all are giving the OP a lot of crap, but you know he is right. The media will be all over it. Bama is not as strong as it has been and Florida sux this year, too. If both lose, the tide in the media will change for the negative related to the SEC. Some of y'all act like you won't care, but you will when you start hearing a lot of pent up BS from the Danny Kanell types in the media. Right now, you are enjoying SEC favor and have for so long, you've forgotten what it was like before.
