Pistol Pete played against no one. Stockton played against Isaiah and Magic and AI and all kinds of athletic types.

Stockton is the starting point guard on the all-time team IMO.
Lets see:

4 time MVP

12 time pro bowler

6 time first team all pro QB

3 time second team all pro

Will finish first in every stat category except INT's.

Is this supposed to be sarcastic?
Stockton had to play mostly against colored folk. Jerry West couldn't cut it in the nineties.

Petit would have been a good eighth man.
Bird didn't have to play in Jordan's era. Bird could score, no doubt, but Stockton is all time assists and steals leader.

You don't get any more well-rounded than that.
Prove me wrong.

Four major stat categories and he is the all-time leader in two of them. By huge margins.

LeBron hasn't put together Jordan's body of work yet, but it's only a matter of when, not if.

And I'm glad because Jordan is an insufferable prick.
Gruden, being the VFL he is, will probably spend half the segment sucking UT/Manning's cock, then Bray will open his mouth and Gruden's head will explode.

He has 3 BCS bowls on his resume?

I meant to reply to the OP.
And after looking it up real quick, when I say "roughly equivalent" resume, I mean Butch's is better.
Tenn's current coach has a roughly equivalent resume to your coach's when you hired him but you classify Butch as not being able to get a "real coach?"

Not to mention we went 5-7 last year despite having 4 or 5 1st rounders on offense.
Haven't read thread but our '12 defense is statistically the worst ever I believe.

We gave up 730 yards to Troy.

You used to be able to watch games going back the the mid nineties for free. That was the shite. This was when youtube didn't allow videos over ten minutes. Now you can find a lotta shite on YT. Not as good quality as SECN though.
You team is going to get frickin raped this september in Eugene by the Vols, Bitch. In I'll be there to witness. Keep quackin in yer boots, punk.

Back in the day...UT had a pretty good run (of course, this predates the SEC).

1927 - 8-0-1
1928 - 9-0-1
1929 - 9-0-1
1930 - 9-1-0
1931 - 9-0-1
1932 - 9-0-1

That's 1 loss in 6 years. Oddly enough, there were 3 ties with Kentucky and two with Vanderbilt...coupled with one loss to Bama.

Also for us...

1938 11-0 #2 finish SEC champs
1939 10-1 (10-0 reg. season) #2 finish SEC champs
1940 10-1 (10-0 reg. season) #4 finish SEC champs
1941 8-2 Top 20 finish
1942 9-1-1 Top Ten Finish

Also..

1995 11-1 #2 finish
1996 10-2 Top Ten finish
1997 11-2 Top Ten finish SEC champs
1998 13-0 National Champs SEC Champs
1999 9-3 Top Ten Finish
Manning has a higher passer rating in the playoffs than Brady.

Sure there is. All-time, Peyton is clearly the best QB. But right now? A guy who has to worry about playing in cold weather because he lacks the ability to feel the football? That's like saying Ray Lewis is the best MLB in football because of what he did in 2001.

Clearly? That's news to a lot of people

Not to anybody that pays attention.
Can somebody remind me who the 1st Team All-Pro QB was this year? Anybody? Oh yeah, it was that old guy in Denver.

Stats get Peyton in, despite the fact that he's not top 10 all time

This isn't even a good troll.

In fact, the dumb "Super Bowls are an individual stat" cliché is literally the only thing holding Peyton back from being widely considered the greatest football player ever. But he's "not top ten QB all time."

When PM retires, he will have more MVPs than any other player ever (already accomplished), more Pro Bowls than any other player ever (already most for QBs, two away from having all position record), been named 1st Team All-Pro more than any other QB ever (currently tied with Unitas), every statistical passing record, and every "wins" record, even though that's stupid since wins are a team accomplishment.
I did. Don't ban me. It is true.
Sorry to all people who live in north Mexico or gulf port au France.

What Do NOLA and Texas Have In Common?

They have a lot of pride but they wouldn't be Americans if a guy from Tennessee hadnt saved their arse 200 years ago.

Thank u Sam Houston and Andrew Jackson.

Beyonce is a sexy and curvaceous Afro American wench. I would love to make halflings with her
Nice avatar. Bruce is a great coach that can do big things.

His first year at Tennessee, he took over a dumpster fire and had us as a 2 seed in the tournament in year one with Dane frickin Bradshaw as our second best player. Never missed the tournament with him. 3 sweet 16 and an elite 8 in 6 years. Hope bama doesn't get him.
