They push information out fast on estimations and feelings, then when actuals arrive they are always off.
Also, market manipulation.

will be heard outside MS in another state court.
That is not how it works.
They would have to go Federal court if they fail at Mississippi Supreme Court.
Would not go well for them at that point, as decisions at that level could go nationwide and quicken their demise. Federal Court decisions is what has got NCAA into their neutered position.
re: Would you be as excited to cheer on your team if the players are not students?

Football has barely been students since 90s.
re: What year did you stop writing checks and balancing your checkbook?

I am an adult, I still write checks periodically.
Now just using checks, probably 1998.

re: Anybody ever buy a new car and have it shipped?
Posted by DarthRebel on 3/5/26 at 4:18 pm to doublecutter
My last car bought was shipped from St. Louis to me in DFW. Was technically used, but only 300 miles on it. Shipping was around $300 and far cheaper than flying and driving back.
First it is new, so really nothing to worry about, everything is under warranty. If you want peace of mind, have them photo and video the areas you would look at specifically.
You can pay insurance for travel and then inspect it upon delivery. There is a 99% chance it arrives fine and no issues.
It is going to be cheaper or maybe even, to just fly in and pick it up. If you have reservations just do that. One way flights are not that expensive to DFW from New Orleans.

More like promoted than demoted. Her new position is responsible for security over the entire western hemisphere, not just the US.
That is beyond the thought process of many here.
I would be pretty scared, if I was a cartel member right now. Her DHS went plenty hard core here, but had to deal with citizens. She is about to get to take the gloves off and Barbie Bitch slap the cartels.

re: What should happen to this guy in the country illegally
Posted by DarthRebel on 3/5/26 at 9:46 am to Diseasefreeforall
I am OK with him becoming a citizen, however his lack effort verifying gives me pause to care about his outcome.
Stupidity is not a defense, citizenship comes with paperwork. It is not very complicated to know if you are a citizen.
I think Trump administration should push this through if no questionable legal happenings in his past.

Same as any other trade in/sale. You sign sale papers, title and they cut you a check in house.

. I now communicate and plan with the wife when I need s*x. Because boy do I still do.
Pro tip - set a weekly cadence with wife and avoid the communication. Still talk to her, but not about getting sex from her. You and her set up recurring sex days during the week, sex happens on those days weekly. Something as simple as Wednesday and Saturday are marital relationship nights. Still put in effort those days to make her feel special - date night, massage, doing the dishes, etc.
It removes the wondering out of your mind if it will happen or not, and it allows women to get themselves in the mood as the day goes on.
Steady sex 2-4 times a week will make you never think of porn again.

The handful of people I know that either know or have met Talarico multiple times say that he is a genuinely kind person.
Obviously his views are a little out there, but most people at least like him as a person which I do think makes him more dangerous than Beto.
Allred was not much different. Cruz killed him on one single topic, men in women's sports. He (PAC) hammered that commercial and Allred could not escape it.
The same is going to happen to Talarico with his support of abortion (only blacks and lib white women support) and trans birth rights (white women). It is going to get ugly, as he cannot walk those back without pissing off the people that were going to vote for him anyways,
Texas is not close to purple yet.

re: Are wages increasing? Not at my company.
Posted by DarthRebel on 3/1/26 at 7:59 am to LSUSUPERSTAR
My salary has increased just 47% over the 19 years I have worked there. That comes out to 2.19% a year.
I found it was easier for my company to provide more freedoms than salary.
Quality of life > salary for me personally.
Do not waste too many years seeking money and middle management titles.

re: What would the stock markets look like if options and shorting weren't a thing?
Posted by DarthRebel on 3/1/26 at 7:44 am to Rankest
If you had to get rid of both, it would be less volatility and liquidity.
If we just removed shorting, less market manipulation. There would still be market manipulation, just to a lesser extent since there would be no money to be paid going down, just buying low and selling high.
Shorters are little turds of people, but then again I play the Don't Come all the time in craps. I am a turd as well

re: NCAA's proposed tampering penalties could mean major trouble for Pete Golding
Posted by DarthRebel on 2/28/26 at 6:45 am to TrueLefty
So the NCAA does not have a set punishment criteria for rampering, so they will just make it up because of feelings.
Sounds like a new lawsuit against NCAA coming and at least furthering the journey to irrelevance.
